April 29, 2026 We just shipped 3 things in 30 days at KalendMe (MCP, group meetings, bookable resources)

Hey IH,

Quick update from the KalendMe trenches. We've been heads down for the last month and just shipped three things I'm genuinely excited about. Wanted to share both the what and the why, since IndieHackers is one of the few places that cares about the second part.

1. MCP server

We published @kalendme/mcp-server on npm. If you're running an MCP compatible AI client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, etc), you can now talk to your calendar in natural language. "Find me 30 minutes with Ana next week." "Book the studio for Friday." "Show my next 5 meetings."

Honestly this was a 2 day hack that turned into the most "wow" reaction we've gotten in a while. If you're building anything in the AI assistant space, MCP is worth your weekend.

2. Group meetings + Round Robin

Single link, multiple hosts. Either everyone joins (kickoffs, demos) or KalendMe auto assigns each booking to one teammate (cyclic rotation or least load). This was the #1 customer ask for like a year. Building Round Robin properly turned out to be hilariously hard once you get into edge cases (cooldowns, lookaheads, fairness vs. utilization, races on concurrent bookings). Happy to nerd out on the design if anyone's curious.

3. Bookable resources

Rooms, chairs, equipment, vehicles, anything with a schedule. Each resource gets its own public page, ICS feed, granular access modes, and its own email so it can be added as a guest to any calendar invite and book itself via iTIP. Coworking spaces and salons in particular were begging for this.

The meta point

All three are also exposed via REST API and via MCP, so engineering teams can build on top of KalendMe instead of just using it. We're betting hard on "scheduling as a primitive that other products consume," not just "yet another booking page."

Free plan covers a lot of it. Premium is $4/seat/month. Resources count as one seat each, alongside team members (we just added that disclosure across the product, because of course we did).

Would love feedback. Especially if any of this maps to a problem you're hitting in your own tool. https://kalendme.com

Cheers,

Rai

Congrats 👏 What growth strategy you followed for new customer acquisition and growth?

Hey @appmetrix! Thank you!! We haven't done much on that front other than having our users refer others. The usage of the link is very sticky, but we're working on more organic content for our blog, linkedin, etc to increase top of the funnel leads. We're also tweaking our bottom of the funnel conversions at the moment, a few more features and a simpler landing.

January 23, 2023 Hard at Work at KalendMe

We've been hard at work at KalendMe, and it's paying off! We're now powering over 2000 bookings per week and just spent the last few months rebuilding our entire backend. Yesterday we made the switch from Fauna to Postgres, and it's made a huge difference. The platform is now much faster and more reliable.

We're ready to start 2023 strong, with new features like group links and more advanced API calls, such as bulk availability endpoints. These new features will make it even easier for our users to manage their appointments and tasks, increasing productivity and efficiency.

We're excited to see what the future holds for KalendMe and are dedicated to continuing to improve and evolve our platform to meet the needs of our users.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Yours truly,
The KalendMe Team

May 8, 2022 May update: Branding, Integrations (Zapier) and more!

What a year! Posting a quick update of what's been happening on our side.

  • Custom Branding is out! Your booking links can look amazing now with your logo, brand name, and colors!
  • Configurable locations per link, you can now chose whether you want to meet in person, via videoconference, by phone (make or receive calls) and Others!
  • Meeting padding, add some buffer time between meetings so your calendar doesn't end up full.
  • Refactored organizations and managing users, now it's even easier to manage your team

Next up: Group meetings! Including round-robin.

Ps, we just crossed 25k booked events! Looking forward to next quarter.

Raimundo, looks promising, fresh new approach! Question: How could I use your product (API-based, branded) to arrange a schedules for few meetings with some random people? Random = no fixed user based, constantly changing persons. Is this probably part of your software design (frequently adding and removing users, arrange schedules for constantly changing groups and persons)?

Thank you!! I'm not really sure what you mean by that, but with the API you have full control over user creation, and configuration. Including their links and calendars. Is that what you're asking? Feel free to shoot an email raimundo at kalendme.com with any further questions. I also suggest just testing the API and see if it works for you, open to any feedback and comments!

December 2021 Officially integrated to a few businesses over API

One of our goals was to develop an API to provide Scheduling-as-a-Service for a few telemedicine startups in LATAM.

We did this but releasing our API docs and really understanding the details on what problems we were solving for our customers.

Once deployed and tested, our API is proudly scheduling over 2500 events per month.

May 3, 2021 Premium Features

Now that we offer most of the basic features a free user of our competitors have. It's time to get to the good stuff, premium features.

We just launched the ability to connect multiple calendars under one account so you can have your link coordinate across your microsoft and google calendars.

We're excited to start working now on multiple event types and more!

Billing is right around the corner ...

April 20, 2021 New design!

After a few iterations with designers, neither my wife nor I are good at it, we agreed on a new brand + complete site redesign. Spent a few weeks tearing Material UI and replacing it with TailwindCSS + our design to make it look more "us".

We were finally able to test it and launch it with a new page for Features and Pricing.

March 1, 2021 All in!

I officially leave my full-time role at Foxtrot Systems, to fully focus on KalendMe. My wife Nicole, also joins full time so we can make this happen.

KalendMe is incorporated as a Brazilian company later in March, but we start doing the work before.

We now have a bank, company and the actual time to grow the platform.

    越来越多的企业家开始追随数字化

January 20, 2021 KalendMe ❤️s LATAM

After a few months of testing with real users, we needed a bit of a kick in exposure. In parallel, Rappi (a Colombian unicorn with a mega-app for deliveries), happened to be launching their ad analytics platform initiative for businesses in LATAM (Brands by Rappi).

They were hosting a huge virtual event and they needed a custom made link to close demo bookings as frictionless as possible. So we came in a did that. This got us over 100 new users!

In parallel, a few other startups like Muni Tienda, started using us actively which also drew more and more users into the platform.

About

I've used calendly for years, but the pain it solved did not match the price. Living in South America, we've realized there's even less willingness to pay. So we created KalendMe by to bring premium scheduling for $4/mo
