Kaufpedia
Swiss creative marketplace for physical and digital products
We attended an event for startups and investors and met 2 investors who showed interest in investing in our startup. We are still not sure if we will go for an investment or crowdfunding, but one way or another seems to be fine proceeding further. I'm excited for the next steps.
Our platform is growing. We are currently counting few over 30 vendors and over 300 Products live. Our community is positive about the ideas we want to realize and the support that they get on Kaufpedia.
Next milestones are to grow up till 200 Vendors by the end of 2024

Today we launched our website, and it feels soo exciting.
The launch was smooth and since we don't have any customers yet, the pressure is not known. :)
We have 2 vendors and around 50 Products on our platform, so hold breaks on marketing yet and for the moment we are working on finding more small businesses that want to join us.

Yesterday we launched @Kaufpedia on @Hacker News and got to the front page! Here are some tips i heard from others:
- Refine your website before launching. There were several typos and errors on my site that I could've fixed beforehand if I'd asked a few friends for their opinions.
- Submit multiple times if you have to. This was my first time submitting attempt and it worked.
I'm excited for what comes next!
Today one of my first vendor for Kaufpedia launched her profile. She uploaded 1400+ products. I noticed when I got the email from that the products were uploaded that said, "New Products on Kaufpedia are waiting for your review". It felt amazing! Just 99 more of these and I'll be exactly where I want to be with my business.

It took me one year, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Kaufpedia. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in PHP, JavaScript, Java since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

I've read so many times that you should find and solve problems, and so I sat down to think about all the problems around.
I always had a heart for helping others in a way i can, so since i have 10+ years a developer background, i thought i might try to use technology to help others.
It turned out that there were quite a few problems worth solving, and the most interesting one led me to the idea for Kaufpedia!
