LaunchFrame

B2B SaaS starter kit with a CLI orchestrator

Visit Website
March 5, 2026 I took LaunchFrame for a test drive

After months of refining I decided to test my B2B SaaS boilerplate on a real use-case. I needed a product that is simple enough to serve as a proof-of-concept, yet can stress test the main capabilities. An up-time monitor was a perfect use case. It has B2B2C (status page), multi-tenancy (a single user can monitor multiple products), crons and background jobs (alert when service is down, and notify when it has recovered).

Thus SleepWell was born. Took me 4 hours in total from init to deploy. Along the way I smoothed some friction points:

  1. The subscription plan features are saved to the database during local dev, and I needed a way to sync them to remote after initial deployment. I added a launchframe deploy:sync-features .

  2. I needed to handle logos and favicons across 3 different repos (website, admin portal, status page). I added launchframe dev:logo which takes an SVG file and automatically injects the logos and favicons to their respective repos.

The build itself was iterative with focused prompts to Claude. After each step it saved progress to an exec folder, allowing me to pass the torch to the next agent.

Overall it was fun to jump straight into building the product and gave me the motivation to build some more POCs similar to this: simple but functional. Next up I'll do a URL shortener.

December 10, 2025 Why I'm building LaunchFrame

Starting a new SaaS venture is a daunting task. You want to put all your energy into your new shiny idea, but the amount of grunt work required to set up the recurring basics (Auth, Subscription/Credits, website, admin portal, and most importantly deployment) is draining. Even if you've built products before and have some reusable code, it's still a pain to tie it all together so you can immediately jump into implementing the core idea.

Moreover you need to lock yourself into multiple vendors (think Railway and Vercel), pay per seats and usage, and manage your environment on multiple places. We've all been there and it's annoying and expensive.

LaunchFrame was born out of this frustration. It is a dynamic docker-based and full-featured boilerplate, orchestrated by a slick CLI tool, that allows you to do everything from initial setup - with different variants for B2B vs B2B2C and single vs mutli- tenancy - to adding additional services, such as docs (based on the wonderful VitePress) or a wait list landing page, and most importantly deploy to a single affordable VPS (I pay $7 a month on Hostinger for my entire app) using Github Actions CI/CD with zero-downtime deployment. It employs a single .env file to rule them all as a single source of truth for all repos (backend, admin portal, website etc). Your entire stack on a single server and a single network. KISS and pragmatic.

About

I got tired of the legwork I needed to do every time I had a new idea and wanted to launch it quickly. I also hate being vendor locked to so many (expensive) providers and managing envs everywhere.
