July 10, 2023 Exciting Updates on Our LeadGen.Tools System

Hello everyone,

We're thrilled to announce a significant update to our LeadGen.tools system. We've seamlessly integrated all of our data mining tools with a new feature called 'Projects'. This functionality allows you to conveniently consolidate and manage Companies and People leads that you've garnered from your searches and data enrichment processes.

With this Project feature, you can efficiently verify your saved data in bulk and easily export it to HubSpot, Lemlist, and GMass for campaign creation. This enhancement empowers you to filter and sort your data into projects, and directly deliver campaigns to the inboxes of your prospects, leveraging top-tier systems like Lemlist and GMass.

That's not all. We have even more exciting news! We've been approved for API usage with GPT4, which will significantly improve our AI Copywriting tool. Our goal is to cache all the content created to enhance the tool's capability in generating ideas for your cold emailing sequences. This will save you a significant amount of time and effort.

To give you a better understanding of the workflow, I've created a video explaining the system's flow: https://youtu.be/Nx55zd7NlOs . The workflow is quite intuitive and straightforward.

We're not stopping here. Our upcoming updates include:

Connecting projects with organizations: This feature will help you avoid duplicating efforts or falling into the spamming trap. If your accounts belong to the same organization or aim to avoid repeating emails in multiple campaigns with the same objective, you can link your campaigns based on organizations to eliminate duplicates. This will also enable other LeadGen.tools accounts to join the organization and filter data that's already been scraped and sent to a campaign.

Introducing the People Finder section: This tool will aggregate data from various APIs, sparing you the hassle of registering for apps like RocketReach, Pipl, Hunter.io, and more.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to hearing your feedback on these updates.

Best,

May 29, 2023 Importance of pragmatic & cohesive design

Last week, I had the opportunity to meet with the team at AppSumo. Despite their significant commission, I view this as a chance for marketing exposure and greater visibility for my project. The terms for our Lifetime users will include a limit of 5,000 credits per month, resetting on the first day of each month. It's important to factor in all lifetime expenses and the likelihood that some Lifetime customers may not fully utilize their deals.

To upsell, I'm considering the development of an API along with frontend scripts that can integrate into our customers' websites. This should encourage faster credit consumption, particularly for those who wish to whitelabel the system's functions. This strategy could also attract high-ticket customers requiring system integration.

I'm currently working on a cohesive design, integrating all our data-mining tools. These include:

Lead Spider: This tool captures real-time search engine results based on custom commands and collects URLs and emails from any network or URL pattern, such as /contact pages.

Company Finder: This tool identifies businesses within certain areas and radius, utilizing real-time Google Places data. It crawls websites to gather essential contact information.

Ad Spy: This tool trawls real-time responses from Bing and Google PPC Ads, capturing advertisers' contact information.

All data will be saved as Projects and can be filtered on the Projects page. This page will also enable users to verify emails, enrich data with APIs such as Hunter.io, Snov, Clearbit, Pipl, and others, and then export projects to platforms like Hubspot, Lemlist, and Salesforce.

I'm currently developing a feature to create Campaigns from Projects. This will allow the sending of personalized cold emails with automated follow-ups, generated using AI.

The goal of this design is to offer a comprehensive tool that simplifies the process of setting up cold emailing campaigns, similar to GMass. As part of the implementation strategy, I will create instructional videos to train users on proper setup and usage.

I am open to any suggestions for future improvements and ideas.

May 18, 2023 Evolving My SaaS – Are More Features the Answer?

Hey Indiehackers,

I know the majority of you usually lean towards a strong "NO" when asked about packing a SaaS with more features. The common advice is to concentrate on the sales and feedback of existing ones. However, my journey in the Lead Generation sector has taught me that it's a realm where continuous adaptation and innovation are crucial.

For years, I've been crafting individual scripts and selling them, gradually perfecting the automation of various methods and ideas. This practice has given me the capability to innovate and grow my SaaS product. Now, instead of solely relying on customers' own projects ideas to survive, I'm venturing into self-improvement within what I view as an interesting "loophole" – being simultaneously involved in marketing, sales, and SaaS creation.

Given this context, I've been incorporating scripts into the service, optimizing them for simplicity and effectiveness. Here are some noteworthy additions:

Google Places Scraper: In the past, I found myself breaching ToS when scraping directly. I've now revised my approach to consume the API directly, then crawling into the website to fetch emails, phone numbers, social media links, and contact pages.

Lead Spider: This tool retrieves search results from major search engines and performs crawling when required.

Ad Spy: This feature renders actual browsers to unobtrusively observe real-time ads (sans clicking). It then crawls each website to collect contact information.

These common functions will be incorporated into the API, allowing for integration into your own projects as a whitelabel feature. I'm also planning on offering plug-and-play scripts that can be added to your domain effortlessly.

I've also enhanced the service with a keyword suggestion scraper (from Google, Bing, Amazon, YouTube, etc.), a HTML Builder for templates, and even a Facebook Ad Spy. I've integrated a PageSpeed checker and a vulnerability scanner to help improve your landing pages and overall website configuration.

With an eye on educating users, I've begun adding training material, a move I'm excited about.

My upcoming feature involves a Project saving function for data divided into companies or individuals. It will allow you to explore selected data using APIs like Hunter.io, Pipl, Snov.io, RocketReach, etc. This will offer deeper insights into specific phones, emails, URLs, or other data points without the need to pay each application individually.

After honing this all-inclusive data-mining system, I plan to activate the API for users to start utilizing credits on their own websites.

Currently, I'm offering a Founders Lifetime Deal at $420, providing unlimited credits and access to all training materials. This includes a 1-on-1 call to help with landing pages, conversion tracking, campaign configurations, and more.

As an Indie Hacker, my goal is to keep my venture self-funded, avoiding investment solicitations. Your support and insights will not only aid my SaaS but also fuel my side educational project that I've been nurturing for over 12 years. My commitment is to maintain impartiality and integrity throughout this process.

I look forward to your thoughts, suggestions, and shared experiences. Thanks for being a part of this journey with me!

I think you put in a lot of work into this, so kudos for that.
For me, the product looks too complicated and too geeky.
It's a mix of all kind of different tools and innovative for sure, but imo it focuses too much on the "how" and too little on the "what".
If i can get lead data from the tool thats fine, but i don't care so much about how it extracts / scrapes the data, i do only care about the results.
Also, there is a ton of free tools already for different tasks you are doing with the scripts, why should someone pay for a product when there are free alternatives, what is your USP?

Thanks alot for the kudos and for your feedback. I appreciate your thoughts and see where you're coming from.

Our product might seem a bit complicated or geeky at first glance because it is indeed an amalgamation of various tools. However, the true beauty lies in this unique blend. Let me clarify why our offering goes beyond just "how" and really delivers on the "what".

While the tool does revolve around lead data extraction, the main draw is not just the extraction itself, but the comprehensive capabilities we offer in one package. Unlike other tools that focus on a singular aspect, we provide an all-in-one platform that streamlines the entire process: gathering data, enriching it, saving it into organized projects, and subsequently launching campaigns directly.

Moreover, we provide an in-depth, step-by-step training that takes you from zero to hero in the online business world. This covers everything from setting up an effective sales funnel, to gathering data from ads, to crafting drip email campaigns that will save you money and steer you on the right track.

The benefit of our product over free tools is not just in the results, but also in the simplification and integration of the process. I understand the allure of free alternatives, but often using these means juggling multiple tools, platforms, and processes, which can be confusing, time-consuming, and ultimately, costly. Our solution is all about consolidation and efficiency.

As for your point about the API integrations like Hunter.io, Pipl, and others, our platform eliminates the need for multiple subscriptions and payments, providing all services in a single, cost-effective package.

Another unique aspect is our custom command creation for searching website footprints. This provides real-time leads, or if preferred, data can be sourced exclusively from places like Google Places, Yelp, or Foursquare.

I hope this provides more clarity on the value our product brings. I'd be happy to answer any further questions you may have.

May 16, 2023 Learning from failures and LTD against MRR

I realize that I spent several months focusing on other clients' projects instead of my own, and looking back, I believe this was a mistake. By prioritizing my own projects, I could have potentially generated better profits and had the opportunity to hire more people. However, lessons often come to us in unexpected ways.

I may have been stubborn and resistant to change, but now everything is much clearer to me. I would rather concentrate on acquiring lifetime customers who can share information about their business and how my system can assist them, rather than constantly trying to understand and implement ideas that may or may not work for them, leading to a cycle of continuous improvement and exploration of different niches.

Maintaining an open door for lifetime subscriptions rather than solely focusing on monthly recurring revenue is a wonderful approach. This approach allows for a larger budget to test and document my processes while also studying and learning from other experts to enhance my skills. I have always appreciated the idea of failing publicly to save others time and effort.
