LeadLu
The all-in-one workspace to prospect, reach out, and close d
Before LeadLu, I was finding leads for local businesses the old-fashioned way, searching Google Maps, copying emails into a spreadsheet, sending cold emails one by one.
It worked, but it didn't scale. So I built the thing I wished existed.
LeadLu lets you search for local businesses by keyword and location, then run automated email and SMS outreach sequences to them. The whole workflow that used to take hours now takes minutes.
It's aimed at agencies, freelancers, and small businesses who want a pipeline of local leads without paying Apollo prices for features they'll never use.
Just listed it on Indie Hackers today. Still early, still iterating, but if you're in the local business space or do any kind of outreach, I'd love to hear what you think.
About
Built it because I needed it. I was doing this manually for local tradies in United States using Google Maps, copy paste, one email at a time. Got tedious fast, so I automated it.

Congrats! Can you clarify whether LeadLu automatically adds email and SMS as different touchpoints within the same sequence?
Congrats on the launch! Solving your own pain point is the best way to build. Since Google Maps usually only provides phone numbers and websites, how does LeadLu find the actual email addresses for the outreach sequence? Do you scrape the target website for contact info?
One thing I'd be careful with:
A lot of tools can search local businesses and automate outreach. The harder question is what specific problem makes someone switch from their current workflow to LeadLu.
That decision probably matters more than any feature you add next.
I wouldn't make that call casually in a thread because it ends up shaping who the product is really for and what buyers think they're paying for.
That's fair, and honestly it's something I think about a lot. The angle I keep coming back to is that most outreach tools are built for SaaS sales teams, not someone trying to find a local plumber who needs a website.
LeadLu is for that gap. Someone doing local outreach who doesn't need a $100/month CRM, just wants to find businesses and follow up without it being a whole project.
That's the part I'd keep pressure-testing.
The risk isn't whether local outreach is a real problem. It's making the wrong positioning call and then spending months collecting feedback from people who were never the buyer in the first place.
I wouldn't make that decision casually in a thread because it ends up shaping the product, messaging, and acquisition path together.
If useful, drop your email and I'll put the tighter version together properly.
