I grew MSB to $1,500 MRR.
Then, I took a month away from "things that don't scale" like manually helping my users get the most out of the platform.
I churned all the way down to $500 MRR in that month, a month I was focused on automating what I had been doing manually. It sucked.
I took a major step back. After doing a lot of the "Small Bets" work in Daniel Vassallo's community, I started tuning into what people wanted from me, instead of just what I wanted to build for the masses.
I've been doing a lot of custom sales hacking. It's led to two $500/m opportunities and a one-time project for $1,500. No money in the bank yet, but if this is how things look 4 days into October, I'm happy.
After creating connections based on my sales content, I've got a lot of opportunity I can work with. I'm letting MSB run on autopilot while I pull this agency angle off the ground.
I'd still love to do saas - I can see myself building tools to support my sales work and then spinning them out as products if they are successful.
