Really interesting idea for discovering new movies . One thing I’d suggest is allowing users to configure in their profile which streaming platforms they have access to (e.g. Netflix, Prime). For example, if I like a clip but it’s only available on Prime and I only have Netflix, that would be a blocker.

Another cool addition could be a “new releases” mode — showing only the latest movies already available on streaming platforms. That would be super useful.

    Really like this idea!

The “swipe through clips” approach feels natural and way faster than endless scrolling on Netflix/Prime.

I could totally see myself using it on group movie nights where everyone wastes time debating.

One thought: maybe partner with watch-party apps or smart-TV integrations — could make adoption super smooth.

Excited to see where you take it!

Thanks a lot. That’s a really cool angle. I hadn’t thought about watch-party apps or smart-TV use, but it makes total sense. Appreciate the support!

Probably a nice extra but still sounds great!

True, it could end up being more of a bonus, but I appreciate the encouragement.

This is slick, Aljaz. Swiping through clips feels way more natural than posters,MovieLoop could seriously change how we pick movies. Curious how you’re curating the clips

Thanks! For now I’m just pulling clips from YouTube and embedding them with iframes. Super simple, but it works.

Clean move. Appreciate you sharing the stack. Keeping it simple, keeping it moving.

About

I built MovieLoop because every movie night with friends turned into 30 minutes of endless scrolling. It exists to make discovering movies faster and more fun through short clips instead of posters.
