I did it! The idea was simple: I don't really have the time to work on a side project right now, but I wanted to know if I was able to ship something during one week-end.
Idea, code, design, and ship in less than 48 hours... It was a really interesting experience, and I'll tell you more about it in a longer thread (In fact it was something like 15 hours of work).
But there were two crucial elements with this short journey
- The stack is really important, and the tools that we have today are really AWESOME (Multy.me was created with NextJS (backend with API Routes), TailwindCSS, and Supabase.io for the DB).
- Creating a website in such a short period of time forces you to focus on the most important features. I struggled with that on previous projects where I procrastinated, making useless features, and trying to fix a part of the design no one cares about. With just 48 hours, you have to get to the point.
