Hi everyone 👋 I’m one of the makers of Nano Banana — a curated hub of trending AI image prompts and real-world creative use cases. In this post I want to share the story behind the project, the technical decisions, what worked (and what didn’t), and the lessons learned on building an indie AI SaaS.

🧠 What Is Nano Banana?

Nano Banana is a curated directory that helps creators quickly discover popular AI image prompts and creative workflows without spending hours doing trial-and-error.

Instead of asking users to write prompts from scratch, we showcase:

• Trending AI image prompts

• Viral creative ideas

• Real-world use cases

• Tips for high-engagement visuals

We built it because we saw so many creators stuck on “how do I prompt this AI model to get better results?” — and no simple place to explore examples and remix them.

🧪 Why a Prompt Directory?

A few months ago, I was building AI visuals for a project and kept hitting the same problem:
crafting effective prompts takes time + knowledge + luck.

Most generative prompt tools are either:

• Too generic (“write a prompt for a logo”)

• Too technical (model specific syntax)

• Focused on paid options or bots

But creators want:
✔ practical examples
✔ proven prompt results
✔ inspiration right away

That’s why Nano Banana is focused on curated content — not auto-generated lists.
