June 19, 2022 Update #1 - Programmatic SEO: Failures and First Steps!

Alright, one week in!

And... it's looking poorly.

Especially struggling with the coverage, as +4k pages are excluded, as "Duplicate without user-selected canonical". Only 10/15 pages are covered from the whole Programmatic initative https://www.panoramata.co/brands-library

But some programmatic pages are started to by indexed.

32 impressions.
1 click.

But I see a "fashion ecommerce marketing strategies" keyword - and that's the goal 👏

So. What am I doing to get this better?

• Included a new category of content related to organic traffic for all brands
• Included Industries content on the brand page to differenciate the pages
• Randomize a few lists of recommendations or softwares
• Added a logo for brands

Those were my main clues to:
1/ Differenciate the pages
2/ Add more value to the visitors.

June 10, 2022 Launch Programmatic SEO initiative

Just launched the Panoramata Brands Library. You can access some of the data we collect over a few brands we track on the Panoramata platform.

I'll report in a few weeks to demonstrate how it works and if I notice a few effects.

April 16, 2022 The first paying customer came from a random twitter thread posted at 11pm

A Fashion brand very well-known in France - saw their name on a thread, clicked on it, my profile, the platform - signed up and picked their plan.

Without talking to me, just 2 hours the platform was accessible without booking a demo.

Will produce more content from now on.

  1. #⃣ Launch Numbers
  • over 4000 impressions on all channels
  • about 250 unique website visitors
  • 108 upvotes on PH
  • 14 demo calls booked
  1. 🏗️ Process

Panoramata was lucky to be hunted by the incredible @__tosh
Launch was set for the CET morning, with content posting scheduled by the team throughout the day.
On PH the description was kept snappy, and the choice of assets fell on 1 screen share + 4 hero slides.

  1. 🚄 Channels

All channels were exploited, with adapted messaging:

  • Groups: FB, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack
  • Social media: Twitter, LinkedIn

The winner? LinkedIn. Don't sleep on it!
Know your audience and make sure to be present/active where your product has the best fit.

  1. 🧑‍🎓 Improvements

Future launch:

  • post on other socials (Reddit, Instagram etc...)
  • use existing email lists to generate more impressions
  • have a demo so people can play around with your tool without having to register

The motto: increase impressions, reduce frictions.

To conclude:

Launch before you think you're ready.
Give @ProductHunt
a chance.
Use all traffic channels with adapted messaging.
Reduce friction wherever you can.

And don't forget to buckle up for the ride 🎢!
