PrivacyPromptAI
Clean Any Document for Privacy, Document Privacy Tool
The PRO features for PrivacyPromptAI (privacypromptai.com) handle heavy document workflows while maintaining 100% local, browser-side processing.
What’s included in the PRO version:
Batch / Group Processing: Upload and clean multiple documents simultaneously instead of one by one.
Custom Keyword Detection: Add custom terms, codenames, or specific project names to strip alongside standard PII.
Full Token Control: Rename replace placeholders to fit your exact naming conventions (e.g.,
[HIDDEN_1],[REDACTED]).Expanded File Exports: Download cleaned documents directly as PDF, XLSX, CSV, Markdown, LaTeX, or a single ZIP bundle.
Audit & Compliance: Generate structured JSON audit reports and summary PDFs for compliance tracking.
Sensitivity Tuning: Switch between Strict and Broad detection modes depending on document complexity.
Free users still get unlimited TXT and DOCX cleaning, but PRO is built for founders, freelancers, and teams handling recurring file exports.
I just updated the document cleaning pipeline on PrivacyPromptAI to support specific national ID formats (like Romanian CNP, Polish PESEL, Dutch BSN, UK NINO) and added a feature to let users customize token naming (e.g., swapping [NAME_1] out for custom strings or {n} numbering).
Everything runs 100% locally in the browser, no document data leaves the client device, and text/DOCX exports remain free/unlimited.

After working on it more, I keep feeling like something’s missing
But not in a “more features” way. More like:
maybe the workflow isn’t quite right
maybe I’m solving the problem correctly, but not completely
maybe there’s a use case I’m not seeing at all

Do you ever share documents without really checking what’s inside them?
I noticed I’ve done this more times than I’d like to admit.
Send a contract → “should be fine”
Upload a document → “probably nothing sensitive in there”
Share a file → “I skimmed it quickly”
But when I actually look closely, documents often contain:
names
addresses
ID numbers
financial details
random personal info buried somewhere
Stuff that’s easy to miss, especially in longer files.

On my PrivacyPromptAI website I also built a simple way to understand (and test) what counts as personal data.
PII isn’t just names or emails. It includes:
* IP addresses, dates, and IDs;
* Combinations of data that identify someone;
* Sensitive categories like health, political views, or biometrics.
And under GDPR, mishandling this data can lead to serious consequences.
The issue isn’t just about privacy. It’s also about the fact that people don’t know what they’re sharing in the first place.
So I created two simple resources:
A clear breakdown of PII --> https://privacypromptai.com/pii-types
A quick way to test yourself --> https://privacypromptai.com/pii-quiz

PrivacyPromptAI has a core product which is free, but it also has a paid version. Here’s what the Pro adds:
- Support for PDFs, spreadsheets, and more formats;
- Custom keyword detection (for company-specific data);
- Exportable audit reports (useful for GDPR compliance);
- Built for handling multiple documents and repeated workflows.
In either case, free or pro, the website detects and removes personal data locally, with nothing ever leaving your device.
Still early, but I’m curious:
Would you pay for something like this, or is privacy tooling expected to be free?

I also made a free browser extension, specifically for AI, so far covering Gemini, Claude and ChatGPT. It's already on Google Developer Store.

Feel free to check it out. Any constructive feedback is welcome. :)

Built a small, new, useful feature on my site (PrivacyPromptAI) called “Clean Document”.
What it does:
paste or upload a document
automatically removes personal data (names, emails, numbers, etc.)
Why I built it:
I got tired of manually checking documents every time I had to send one somewhere (AI tools, clients, forms, etc.).
It's meant to be make things quick and reliable before sharing a file.
Still improving it, but this is the core idea.

I built Privacy Prompt AI Pro to make document redaction simpler and more reliable.
The free version covers the basics, but Pro adds support for more document formats and extra features for handling sensitive data more efficiently.
Would love your feedback. :)

Data breaches happen because we upload things we shouldn't. I built PrivacyPromptAI to be the ultimate "Invisibility Cloak" for your documents.
The primary goal?
Zero-trust redaction for any document format. You shouldn't have to worry about where your data goes when you're just trying to clean a PDF or a text file.
What makes this different:
Browser-Only Execution: No accounts, no "cloud processing," and no data storage. Your device is the only one that sees the raw data.
It’s Not Just for AI: While I love LLMs, this tool is designed for the 9-to-5 grind. Redact a contract, a resume, or a spreadsheet before sending it off.
The Workflow Hack: I also threw in a browser extension for those of us who do use AI, ensuring your prompts are as clean as your documents.
Check it out here: PrivacyPromptAI.com

I’m building PrivacyPromptAI because keeping your data private shouldn't be a technical chore. Most people want to share or process documents without leaking sensitive information, but the existing tools are either too c

I'm curious how you decide which privacy features belong in the free version versus PRO.
Is that boundary driven more by the complexity of the workflow you're supporting, or by the amount of work the product performs?
