Did you know that reading needs to be at least 96% accurate to sustain strong comprehension? And that there are norms for reading rate for grades 1-6 available here. The goal for reading rate (sometimes called ORF: oral reading fluency) should be between the 50th and 75th percentile (reading too fast can present it's own problems so this is roughly the sweet spot). With this app you can see how your child is doing toward this two markers of reading fluency.
