January 30, 2026 ReflectRise is live on Google Play 🚀 My first app launch

Hey everyone 👋

Big milestone today. ReflectRise is officially live on the Google Play Store 🎉
This is my first app launch and I built it to solve my own journaling and consistency challenges.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed by too many features or blank pages, ReflectRise focuses on simplicity and momentum.

✨ What it helps with:

  • Quick daily journaling

  • Guided reflection prompts

  • Habit and growth tracking

  • Clean and distraction-free experience

📲 Get it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.reflectrise.app

If you try it, I would love your feedback:

  1. What feature would make you come back daily?

  2. What is your biggest struggle with journaling?

  3. What would you improve first?

Happy to share what I learned building it too 🙌

December 15, 2025 I started building ReflectRise to fix my own journaling consistency problem (now preparing for Play Store)

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I’m a Computer Science student and over the past ~2 months I’ve been building a product called ReflectRise.

It started as a personal problem. I struggled to stay consistent with journaling and goal tracking. Most tools felt either too complex or didn’t encourage daily reflection in a simple, sustainable way. So I decided to build something I’d actually use.

Current state of ReflectRise:

  • Fully completed web app

  • Daily journaling

  • Goal tracking

  • Streaks to encourage consistency

  • Clean, focused UI designed for reflection

  • Actively used and iterated on

The web version is now complete, and I’m currently testing the Android app, with the goal of releasing it on the Google Play Store before the end of this year.

What I’ve learned so far:

  • Solving your own problem keeps motivation high

  • Shipping a complete version beats endlessly iterating in private

  • Consistency in building matters more than speed

What I’m focusing on now:

  • Polishing the mobile experience

  • Final testing for Play Store release

  • Gradually introducing insights and premium features over time

I’m not chasing aggressive growth right now. The focus is on building something useful, learning from real usage, and improving it steadily.

I’d love to hear from others here:

  • Have you built a product primarily for yourself?

  • How did you approach launching beyond web into mobile?

  • Any lessons from preparing for app store releases?

December 5, 2025 Why I Started Building ReflectRise (and What I’ve Learned So Far)

Hey everyone!
I’m Nadeem, a solo developer building a personal growth and journaling platform called ReflectRise.

I started this project because I wanted an easier way to journal, stay consistent, and build real habits. Most of the tools I tried in the past felt too complicated or didn’t help me stick with it long term, so I decided to build something simple that actually works.

ReflectRise helps people:

  • Journal more easily

  • Track goals and habits

  • Maintain streaks

  • Reflect with insights

  • Stay consistent over time

Over the last few months, I’ve built everything myself, web app, backend, analytics, themes and the Android app is coming this December.

What I'm focusing on now:

  • How to get early users without feeling salesy

  • Balancing building vs promoting as a solo founder

  • Introducing community features at the right time

  • Growing slowly but consistently

What I’d love to learn from this community:

If you’ve built a SaaS or productivity tool before, how did you get your first genuine users?

Any advice would be massively appreciated.

Happy to share updates as I continue building!

Thanks for reading 🙌
