Helping Tech professionals land remote jobs.
I started working remotely in 2013 and immediately loved it! Remotive is a community, a newsletter and a job board helping Tech professional go remote.
So... my tweet got 7,000,000 views! (see link below)
Tech professionals hailing from everywhere reacted, shared and commented. WHY is this important?
Let’s back up a little bit. You may know how much I love remote work...
Back in 2011, I was working at Google. Many of my colleagues commuted for 1.5 hours each way from San Francisco to Mountain View. I loved the company and my colleagues, yet commuting 3 hours per day sounded crazy to me!
I ended up resigning. I left those fun offices and toys. I started working remotely and never looked back. Thing is, resigning was tough and finding a cool remote job even more so.
That’s why I started Remotive in 2014, because remote work is awesome AND tough.
In 2018, remote work is more popular than ever. Folks want flexibility!
I loved reading a tweet that said: "This is especially true once you get older and have children. After work socials and toys just aren’t a priority.”

Creating an online course was an amazing experience. I'm amazed and proud of our students / alumnis who landed remote jobs at startups.
Remotive Jobs became #1 on ProductHunt that day and #3 for that week - launching a better Job board was a fun experience!
This was an important milestone, I felt confident there was a solid and organic need, never spening a dime on promoting nor advertising. At this stage, I redefined our targeting to double down on Tech professionals. Also, I deleted several thousands inactive/bots to make sure we have a qualitative audience. In April 2017, we moved to ConvertKit that has been much better for us.
It's been a fascinating journey getting from 0 to 830+ (as of April 2018) members, working on a one-off $49 subscription fee

Felt amazing to start gathering more and more people! ProductHunt helped us a lot.
Back then we had 8,500 email subscribers, we charged our first sponsor $250 to be included in our newsletter. Up until then, I had invested around $800 to get the project off the ground, mostly in email service providers (curated.co at the time).
