August 15, 2019 First 10 users signed-up!

I launched the platform on Product Hunt, BetaList and BetaPage and I got my first 10 users to sign up. Unfortunately, none of those is a paying customer for now. Still waiting for the first paying users!

As always you can use the code LAUNCH20 to get 20% off when you signup at https://joinrevu.com

Immediately getting a pop-up for a 20% discount turns me off to the site. It both interrupts my experience and comes off as a weak growth tactic. I recommend removing that offer from the main page and only having it activate on an exit from the pricing page.

Even better, only offer the discount for free trials who don't convert by the end of the 7 day period.

I'm in sales ops, former sales, have done marketing for a few microstartups and started a few businesses.

Hi Sean, thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. I followed your advice and looking back at it I agree that it wasn’t the best way to promote a coupon code.

Nice to see you have NASA as a customer :)

I have a connection there. We are testing back and forth with them and with all the other companies listed as well :)

Congrats! 10 users is a good start. 💪

I really like the idea (as far as I understood it from the limited amount of information on your landing page) and I think a proper framework for meetings is overdue!

Why not offer a free trial for a week or so? If you deliver what you promise, it should save larger enterprises a lot of wasted time and money, so they should be easily convinced. Otherwise, I think it really needs an explainer video. From your landing page alone, I wouldn't be inclined to sign up.

Another thing is that in B2B you really should provide more details about your business. I don't know about the legal requirements in the US but as an executive, I always want to know whether I am dealing with another limited liability company, or a sole proprietor, or...

I see a free 7-day trial button. Looks like he took your advice!

Hi Matthias, as Sean noted I added the 7 days trial that was there before but wasn’t advertised. I took your advice and I am now redesigning the landing page so that it is clearer what Revu is and why it creates value for a business. Look out for that ;)

About the company info, do you usually prefer to see them on a landing page or an about page?

Glad to hear you found my advice useful! Looking forward to seeing your update.

I usually expect company details either on the footer or on a legal information page.

Speaking of which, right now, your page is not accessible. Getting error 525: SSL handshake failed.

          Thanks for reporting it!

I was in the process of updating the landing page (post coming soon😁) and I had problems with Cloudflare. Fortunately it’s all fixed now.

I added the legal company info in the footer next to Revu’s name and trademark. Hope that represents what you meant.

I love your idea! Can the feedback be anonymous? That might be an essential feature because, in many cases, I think members wouldn't want to offend their colleagues or managers. But they still want to give honest feedback.

      Hi Nash,
The feedback can be anonymous but you can also put your name as you please. I agree with you, being able to be anonymous is really important and is the way to get them most honest response from people.

August 1, 2019 Lauched!

Finished the first version of the platform (Django/Postgres/Nginx/DigitalOcean) and finished setting up all the bits and giggles like CRM, Stripe, Analytics. I will post on IndiHackers, ProductHunt, HackerNews and everywhere else and then share my results with you. I am so excited to embark on this new journey!

About

Meetings frustrate me and most of the time I have one I never know how it went and what other people thought about. Not knowing how a meeting went also means that I don't know how to improve it.
