October 6, 2025 How do we still fetch 100 Google results after the limit change

A few years ago, getting the top 100 results from Google was easy.

You could just pass a parameter and get everything in one request.

That’s no longer the case.

Google now limits results to ~10 per page, which completely changed how SERP data works at scale.

For anyone building SEO tools, rank trackers, or keyword products - this became a real problem.

At SERPHouse, we had to rethink how we handle this.

Instead of relying on a single request, we built a system that:

  • Iterates across multiple result pages

  • Aggregates results into a single structured response

  • Handles pagination, retries, and edge cases automatically

So you can still get up to 100 results - without dealing with the complexity.

Curious how others are handling this change?
Are you fetching multiple pages or limiting to the top 10–20 results now?

May 22, 2020 From broken scrapers to building a SERP API

I spent more time fixing scraping than building my actual product

That’s honestly why we built SERPHouse.

While working on SEO tools, getting SERP data at scale was always painful:

  • APIs were slow or unreliable

  • Data was inconsistent

  • Proxies & captchas kept breaking things

  • Costs kept increasing as we scaled

At some point, it felt like we were running an infrastructure company instead of building a product.

So we decided to fix it for ourselves first.

We built an internal system that handled:

  • Reliable SERP extraction

  • Clean structured data

  • Scaling without constant failures

That eventually became SERPHouse.

Curious - how are you currently handling SERP data or scraping at scale?

About

While I building SEO tools (Y 2017-2019), getting reliable SERP data at scale was always painful, slow responses, unstable APIs, messy data, and constant issues with proxies/captchas.
