Affiliate monitoring software

April 25, 2023 finally created a Linkedin page

set up the linkedin profile. It was annoying to find the hack to get to have a Products tab there but we found it. It is submitted and we're now trying to post often and grow the follower base.
the point of having followers there is mainly social proof!

July 30, 2020 Second customer... sort of

I started signing up for affiliate programs via some of the larger networks to scrape them for leads. Many conversations started, many companies where I gave them a "free trial" and that was it but today I sent it to one particular company in Poland where they simply said "We've checked your data in the Google Ads panel, your tool works great! How can we use it?"

That made my day! So I'm signing them up for a free trial now and likely they will become a paying customer soon.

I also decided on giving people the first month as a trial in order to see if my value proposition would be in giving them one off reports or if it is indeed a monthly monitoring thing (as in, can I provide them value every month or is it a pest that comes, you deal with it and you don't ever have to think about it again until you notice the problem happening)

July 3, 2020 Great day! incorporated & first customer

Things are happening super fast! First I completed the incorporation of my company in Estonia (via E-residency).

Second, last week I posted on twitter a shaming thread showing a bunch of companies that were leaking money from bad affiliates and tagged a couple of CEOs there.

The CEO and CMO(?) of Brave (the browser) noticed it and reached out. I gave them a "free trial" with quite a few spoofers. Today right after I got my confirmation that I now own a company, the CMO mailed me agreeing to the pricing and asking for the invoice

June 18, 2020 better landing page

spoofdefender.com
is now my landing page.

I included Mouseflow.com for tracking the users. I actually thought about adding Google Analytics but decided not to as the traffic is so low that I might be better off watching people interacting with the site instead

Users can sign up using the airflow form and I'll send them a payment request on paypal/Bitcoin

Now working on understanding Memberstack to see if it can fit my needs

Apart from the page itself, I'm also approaching some companies, cold messaging on Linkedin to get them to try out.

no success yet. Strategy has been to search for affiliate managers on linkedin, try their brand on the tool and, given a spoofer found, message the person.

I'm gonna switch strategy to use the same companies, but then reach out to the CEO instead

    Wish me luck!

June 15, 2020 Landing page / MVP

https://spoofdefender.carrd.co/

I built this landing page that leads to a registration. I have the MVP ready which I run in my machine (it can support north of 100 clients in this way. If I get 100 clients It's more than time to switch it to a VPS or Lambda to do most of the heavy lifting.

Very interesting what I could accomplish with No-code tools for this

Users can pre-register here while I finish building up the website

This call came together after reading a post here in IH of someone having the exact problem my product solves. I reached out and found him one more spoofer that he hadn't caught with his manual auditing.

May 17, 2020 Started building the landing page

Cloned a buuble app and started tweaking it to reflect my Value proposition. Many things are missing but the exercise is good in copywriting and helping me shape up the message for when I launch

About

I've used affiliate programs of many companies and it hurts to see scammers piggybacking on their brand name to get cheap clicks. Spoof Defender helps affiliate managers find dishonest affiliates without manual work
