StartupinTaiwan.com
Wiki / Yelp for registering and running business in Taiwan
One month after our launch we hit our milestone of 1,000 new viewers on our website www.StartupInTaiwan.com . We hit this as we continuously tweaked the website based on our daily customer interviews. It all started when we asked Indie Hackers to roast our website and then actually did what many of you suggested on the layout and copy. We also released weekly newsletter to update our users with what is going on such as our Y Combinator experience, and other perks that they can get when they subscribe to our website. We also leverage Yoast SEO to make sure that organic search will let people to our site. We have built a YouTube months before the launch. We then created a podcast, basically uploading the audio of the YT videos to Buzzsprout and we got 1,000 downloads already. Hopefully, all these tips will help you in your journey!

I was chasing the wrong wallet! Can't tell which segment yet but sending out a newsletter drove it, three days since we launched. The site is still even clunky. My fear though is maybe this is a fluke. So I will need a lot more pieces of advise. Oh and this first revenue is only USD30 , still makes me happy though.

We have finally launched as our main goal at Y Combinator Startup School! It took us 3 months to develop the website that you all roasted - https://www.indiehackers.com/post/roast-my-website-please-17d4faa822 , thanks for every single feedback btw. The idea came to me early this year as I wanted to transform my book into a digital and evergreen version. Now foreigners who wish to have a startup in Taiwan just needs to visit www.startupintaiwan.com :D
