June 12, 2026 We realized companies track Google rankings obsessively but have no way to measure visibility inside AI search engines. Sylgeo was built to

For years, companies measured success through Google rankings.

Rank #1.
Increase organic traffic.
Build backlinks.

That worked because Google was the primary way people discovered products and services.

But something is changing.

Millions of users now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity for recommendations before they visit a website.

Instead of searching:

"Best SEO tool"

They ask:

"What is the best SEO tool for a startup?"

The answer they receive is generated by AI.

This creates a new problem for businesses.

Most companies have no idea:

  • Whether AI models mention them

  • How often competitors are recommended

  • Which sources influence AI responses

  • How visible they are across AI search engines

Traditional SEO tools were not built for this.

A company can rank well on Google and still be nearly invisible inside AI-generated answers.

That observation is what led me to start building Sylgeo.

The goal is simple:

Help companies understand and improve their visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

We're still early, but I believe Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) will become as important over the next few years as SEO was over the last decade.

I'm curious:

Have you checked whether ChatGPT recommends your product?

One thing I'd be careful with:

The interesting question may not be whether companies can measure AI visibility.

It may be what decision they're actually expecting that visibility to help them make.

Those can look like the same problem early on, but they tend to lead in very different directions.

June 9, 2026 Building Sylgeo measuring how AI assistants talk about your brand

Hey IH,

I'm building Sylgeo (https://sylgeo.com) — a tool that measures how AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity mention, recommend, and cite brands.

**Why I built it:**

Over the past year, I've been watching a shift — more discovery is happening inside AI assistants instead of Google. The problem: companies have zero visibility into how they're being represented in those answers. They could rank #1 on Google and still be invisible in ChatGPT.

I wanted to see if I could actually measure this stuff reliably, and turns out it's way harder than it sounds.

**What it does:**

- Tracks brand mentions across major AI platforms

- Compares you to competitors (share of voice)

- Analyzes citations and sources

- Surfaces content gaps that could improve AI discoverability

- Tracks prompt-level performance over time

**What I've learned so far:**

L

- AI models give wildly different answers to the same query — repeatable measurement is genuinely hard

- Citation behavior varies a lot between ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini

- AI visibility doesn't correlate cleanly with traditional SEO rankings

- Authority and topical coverage seem to matter more than backlinks

**Where I'm at:**

Just launched. Looking for early users, honest feedback, and anyone who's been thinking about AI search visibility themselves.
