The Blockchain Way of Programming
An eBook to get started with blockchain development.
I am performing an experiment. Changing the website flow. Instead of users ending up in a newsletter in exchange for a free eBook, I am now setting 2 options:
- Purchase the book directly
- Get a free mentoring session
I will update the community on how it goes in case someone attends to do the same.
The reason is that I needed to introduce a new flow number 2, a separate product, and this seemed like the best way to combine them.

I am starting a blog post where I will be sharing blockchain development tutorials and tips.
I am trying to follow Ramit Sethi advice of focusing on great content first, even though it takes longer to produce.
This one took 2 weeks but I really like it. Hopefully my readers will as well. No idea how to promote it though aside of sharing it on LinkedIn.
I can try Reddit but normally I never get up-voted because of "self promotion" so I am a bit skeptical.
Any advice would be welcomed!

Rookie numbers, but one must crawl before he can walk before he can run.
I want to share with you some personal observations/learnings from my first month of running a side project in production:
- if you are a developer, there is a high chance you will underestimate the marketing
- if you underestimate marketing, you are dead
- if you launch a technical side project, you will (funny enough) program only ~30% of the time and market it the remaining ~70%

Hi, mainly LinkedIn ATM and maybe 20 subscribers I know in person.

That's faster than I built my most recent newsletter. 6 months for my first 100. Almost at 200 now, 2 months later.
Also, people often turn their noses up at LinkedIn, but it massively helped my previous business grow/get traction.

It is, but it will speed up with consistency.
I see it as build up habits, if you go too fast it can become overwhelming and easily pack it in. Take it slow, you build habits, you get into a groove, then life starts feeling wrong when you are not working on these things.
A bit like the tortoise and the hare. :)

Biggest learning? It doesn't matter how much time u spend on a page, after you show it to the public and potential TA, a lot changes.
It seems like building in public is extremely valuable already!
First, hello indie hackers community!
It took one year of writing, aside my full-time job, and few weeks of preparing the sales flow, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for The Blockchain Way of Programming.
I created the main product page: https://web3.coach where developers can learn about the product and download the first 6 chapters for free.
I can't believe the weekend of my pre-orders launch is coming after so much work. In the next days I will be talking to potential customers, collecting feedback and tweaking the descriptions and explanations.
Selling and copywriting is my biggest weakness atm.
