Habits and Recurring Tasks

September 4, 2022 My 4-month process for building an MVP

I knew I wanted something fast, multi-platform, and native. With my background in full-stack development, I felt that React Native would be a good fit. After assessing the ecosystem, I determined that Expo was the right way to go. In a weekend, I had a workable prototype with a backend, and build pipeline.

Over the next 3 months, I'd build out the functionality for (bad) habits and authentication, and support for iOS, web, and Android. Next up is in-app subscriptions for monetization, followed by a deep, focused roadmap toward creating the best habit/task management app on the market.

July 21, 2022 I'm so tired of being in the red

My todo lists are constantly red because I'm constantly barely scratching the surface. My duties, hobbies, and habits are in one big pile, with different time commitments, priorities, and urgencies. There has to be a better way ™️.

What I need is an app with a robust system of recurrence rules, prioritization, automation, and notification; an app that I rarely, if ever, need to actually look at.

About

I needed a better tool for managing my recurring tasks and (bad) habits. My goal is to create an app that you basically never need to look at. You set the conditions for a task or habit, and it automatically completes.
