We believe user adoption needs little more love and care. So we built a tool that can make professional quality product training & walkthrough videos that can be made as simple as creating a powerpoint presentation.

Trainn's idea was born out of our own pain. I had built an e-commerce company in the past and had practical first-hand challenges in user adoption. My e-commerce business was a print e-commerce which needed hand holding of how to use the online software to design and go about placing the order. I created couple of quick walkthrough videos manually spending 5-6 hours on each.

While the process was time taking the end results were rewarding. Our user funnels started seeing good conversions. Which is why I'm building Trainn to replicate this success to other products and making the whole process of creating videos in just few minutes.

We have been working on a new landing page reflecting some of the core value offerings that Trainn provides. We decided to highlight use cases that one can do with Trainn and also show how the tool is different from others.

While our bare bones version of Trainn is being built, I wanted to make sure I have at least 50 Zoom Call interviews with potential customers who I have never met.

This way, I can showcase the "not ready product" prototype, at the same time clarify my positioning and pitch in each of these 30 minute calls.

These calls have been very helpful in couple of things.

1. Tuning our focus - Who are we building it for?
2. Is the problem we are trying to solve a Vitamin or a Painkiller?
3. What is the value intensity of the problem and how much people are ready to invest $money in a product like this.?

We are not there yet! and I will be doing 100 more interviews in the coming days.

I can say one thing now. People are generally nice to share time and feedback. ❣️Lots of love to the people helping us build a great product!

1. Using videos during product onboarding to train about to software.
2. Walkthrough videos can be embedded inside knowledgebase.
3. Training videos can be shared over email / chat to easily assist customers at scale.

Today, May 9th is a very interesting day. I met my co-founders, Vivek & Sumana during an interview with a customer demo.

Trainn is my second startup. I previously built and sold a company to acquisition. I started Trainn as a side project while working on a day job. One of the first checklist I had is to validate market size before building anything. As an exercise to this, I set myself a goal to personally interview 50 people who I have never met in my life, but could become potential users of the product.

One of the potential customer happened to get on a call with another team who are exactly building the same idea of Trainn. He also mentioned that they are in the same city where I am, and I should connect with them.

I was super excited at the same time puzzled to know another team working on the same idea and picked the same problem. We met over zoom calls, had hours and hours of discussions and finally we decided to form a company together after working for some weeks.

What I love about this is that, both my co-founders Vivek & Sumana had the same priority to talk to customers first before doing anything. Customer centric product has been in our DNA right from day 1 and I am super proud and excited about this. 🤩
