True Wallet: A Simple & Private App
Offline wallet to scan and store your cards and documents.

My physical wallet used to be a mini storage locker.
Cash, ID cards, insurance slips, random receipts — everything I might need someday was stuffed inside.
My phone wasn’t much better: a graveyard of screenshots of important papers I could never find when I actually needed them.
Sound familiar?
The Problem
I tried a handful of “digital wallet” apps hoping to finally free my pockets.
But every option came with trade-offs:
Ads everywhere that interrupted the experience.
Mandatory sign-ups and cloud syncs that felt unnecessary for something so personal.
Interfaces that were either too complicated or just plain slow.
All I wanted was a private, lightweight way to keep my cards and documents organized — without handing my data to a third party.
The Spark
After one particularly frustrating day of digging through receipts at a checkout counter, I decided to build the tool I couldn’t find.
That idea became True Wallet.
Building True Wallet
True Wallet is my take on what a wallet app should be:
Offline & private — Your cards never leave your device. No servers. No tracking.
Zero ads — Nothing gets between you and your cards.
No sign-up or login — Install it and start adding cards instantly.
Simple, fast design — Just scan, store, and organize.
It’s the app I wish had existed when I started my paperless journey.
Lessons From Launching
Creating and releasing my first app taught me more than I expected — about coding, design, and how much people value privacy when it’s presented simply.
Seeing True Wallet reach #17 on Product Hunt on launch day was a huge reminder that small indie projects can still resonate.

Let’s make bulky wallets a thing of the past.

We all carry more than we realize — cards, receipts, screenshots, random notes, PDFs.
The right apps can cut through the chaos, helping you stay productive, protect your privacy, and reduce physical clutter.
Here’s my curated list of 10 Android apps that make everyday organization easier.
Some you might know, others might surprise you, and one of them is a project I built myself.
1️⃣ Google Keep — Lightning-Fast Notes and Lists
What it does: Capture ideas, to-do lists, or quick photos before you forget them.
Why it stands out: Simple interface, instant sync with your Google account, and powerful color-coding and labels.
Pro tip: Use voice notes while walking — Keep transcribes them automatically.
2️⃣ True Wallet — Private, Offline Card & Document Storage (My App)
The problem: Bulky wallets full of ID cards, insurance papers, or membership cards — and wallet apps that demand logins or track your data.
The solution: True Wallet keeps your scanned cards completely offline. Your data stays on your device, with zero ads and no sign-up.
Best for: Anyone who wants a lightweight, private digital wallet they can trust.

5️⃣ Trello — Visual Task Management
What it does: Organize projects with boards, lists, and cards.
Why it stands out: Drag-and-drop simplicity, great for both solo projects and small teams.
Pro tip: Use “Butler” automation to move cards or set due dates automatically.

Why it stands out: Find anything instantly — search “passport” and it surfaces every related image.
Pro tip: Create a shared album for important family documents.
7️⃣ Pocket — Save and Read Later
What it does: Save articles, videos, or PDFs to read offline.
Why it stands out: Clean reading view, tagging system, and text-to-speech for listening on the go.
Pro tip: Set a weekly reminder to clear your reading queue.
8️⃣ Evernote — Deep Note Organization
What it does: Handles long-form notes, attachments, and cross-device syncing.
Why it stands out: Powerful search (even inside PDFs), rich formatting, and notebook stacks.
Pro tip: Use it for travel — store itineraries, tickets, and passports in one secure notebook.
9️⃣ Microsoft To Do — Simple Daily Task Lists
What it does: Straightforward task manager with smart suggestions and recurring reminders.
Why it stands out: Great cross-platform support and deep Microsoft ecosystem integration.
Pro tip: Pair it with Outlook to automatically turn flagged emails into tasks.
🔟 Dropbox — Reliable Cloud File Storage
What it does: Keeps your important files accessible on any device.
Why it stands out: Rock-solid syncing and file version history for easy recovery.
Pro tip: Use selective sync to keep your phone storage light.
How to Get Started
Pick one category at a time (cards, tasks, notes).
Set up a simple workflow — don’t overcomplicate.
Stick with it for a week before adding another app.
Even adding just one of these tools can drastically reduce clutter.
For me, moving my cards to True Wallet was the quickest win. No more digging through a stuffed wallet or endless screenshots.
