While in soft launch, we got the first 1K downloads of the app within 2 months.
Our primary focus now is to increase the effectiveness of the application. The main criteria is how many short-term and long-term goals people achieve with the application.
It is thrilling to see that people from almost 100 different countries have already downloaded the app.

October 25, 2020 Public launch of the MVP

It took about one month to find the product-market-fit and complete the development from scratch. The product is in soft-launch and not advertised. The product doesn't have onboarding, and needs some initial understanding of the structure of goals. However, we need to validate the business model and understand the cost of acquisition.

September 2020 Pivot to B2C market

Selling a B2B solution is not that easy, as the tool needs to be integrated with many other systems. We did notice that our team members have been using the Ubjective approach to organise their personal goals, and it was much more powerful compared to other ToDo apps or habit-trackers. B2C solution definitely seemed as a viable product and it was even smaller than a B2B solution. So we found even more minimum product than our MVP.

September 1, 2019 Made ~£150k while validating the idea

Although, my team started working on a B2B solution to implement Ubjective, it still remained as an internal tool. However, in the mean time, I was using the approach by adding value to other team and being paid for it. By this time I knew what exactly works and what doesn't work.

August 2019 Started monetising the idea

After seeing benefits of the approach with my own team, I started talking to my friends about it. One of them asked my to help to organise their team. It was a paid contract and I didn't have any custom software. However, it allowed me to refine and validate how it works while being paid.

February 26, 2019 Came up with the idea

I've tried various tools to organise teams before. However, I was compelled more to goal-oriented. After trying multiple approaches, I started organising business objectives for my own team in a simple Google Doc. It was simpler than OKRs, and easy for all of us to understand.
