Training platform for gamers
We launched our closed beta and let us tell you, it was a SMASHING success! We had over 100 users join the platform, and we were blown away by the positive feedback we received. We're incredibly grateful for all the love and support from our fellow gamers out there.
What's even more mind-blowing is that most of our growth has been ORGANIC! Our social media and word-of-mouth efforts have paid off big time, and we're very thankful for all the shares, likes, and follows.
But wait, there's more! We're super excited to share that several schools have reached out to us expressing interest in using our platform for their gaming teams' training programs. We can hardly believe it! It's truly an honor to be able to help these teams improve their skills and achieve their goals.
We're still riding high on all this excitement, but we know that this is just the beginning!
Note to ourselves: our action items from the beginning of the year really (REALLY!) paid off.
we're thrilled to announce that we've launched our closed-beta! This has been a long time in the making, and we're both scared and excited to see how it will be received. We've put a lot of hard work into making sure the platform is user-friendly and functional, there are a few bug but hey, MVP right?!
Our focus over the past month has really paid off. We were able to knock out a lot of the tasks that we had been wanting to do for a while, and it feels great to see everything coming together. Now that we've launched our closed-beta, we can shift our focus towards building even more exciting features and working on user acquisition and retention. It's a new field for us, so we are excited to learn!
We'll be honest - we made some mistakes in the past. We didn't always take our deadlines seriously, and we weren't consistent with our level of effort from week to week. But Nick, Sam and I realized this and the most important is: we all want to change this!
So, we've taken some action items to help us stay on track. First, we've set up fixed virtual office hours on the weekends where we can all work together to knock out some tasks. Second, we've each committed to dedicating 2 hours per day to the project. This way, we can make steady progress and keep each other accountable.
We know that we have a lot of work to do, but we're excited to make these changes and get back on track. We appreciate your support and encouragement, and we can't wait to see what we can accomplish together!

In 2023, we are going to focus purely on: Feature, Content and Community. We are becoming an app!
During 2022, we started providing live coaching services to gamers. While we saw a great deal of success with this model by coaching several US based universities, we soon realized that it was not sustainable for long-term growth and to sustain the vision that we have for the company. Providing consistent, high-quality coaching services to a growing customer base with different coaches was a significant challenge, and we knew that we needed to find a more efficient and scalable way to deliver our training programs and make the broad impact we want to make.
Sam, Nick and I had a long chat about our future and the future of the company and we decided to pivot our business towards developing the training app that we started in 2021, but did not evolve much. This app will enable us to provide a more accessible, convenient, and efficient way for gamers to access our training programs and with this we will be able to reach broader audience.
We believe that this pivot will help us scale faster and more effectively while ensuring the highest quality for our product, as we can control the quality of the content produced and the content delivered.
We're so excited about this new chapter in our company's journey!
Looking forward to share more with you.

We finally launched our landing page on: https://valoresports.com. We pushed this a few time as we wanted to make sure that we could pass the message of a "well-rounded" esport player through it.
As soon as it was launched, we sent the landing page for feedback to multiple friends and on indiehacker here: https://www.indiehackers.com/post/looking-for-feedback-on-esports-education-tool-landing-page-bec2e54838.
Can't wait to see what's next!

We have finalized the recruitment of our CS:GO and Rocket League coaching teams, this closes a long run of us learning about the games in more depth and discussing it with many coaches that were interested in our project. We managed to find 5 coaches which had the same vision as us and trusted us to work together to start producing training methodologies

Hi! I also really like to play games, especially computer games. So far, my favorite remains unchanged and this is cs go. I play this game a lot and have already received enough skins, but they are all useless. So I decided that I needed to sell csgo skins and found a great website for that. The payment is instantaneous - the system automatically purchases your skins, so you don't have to wait long and tiresome for a buyer on the trading platforms.

Hi guys! I wanted to read on the forum for a long time, what is it like to assemble a real team with your personal trainers? It always seemed to me that it is too difficult, because you need to put a lot of effort, time and money into it. I think so because I've seen a lot of people on different forums like https://globalcsgo.com / they talked about how they tried to create amateur teams, but they didn't succeed. However, your intentions look serious and you have thought everything through well. I think you will succeed. Good luck!

Hey! We found it really difficult to assemble teams. There are many motivated amateur esports athletes out there but it's a small portion of the gamers. It is very difficult to reach them as you get lost in the wave of all the non-serious gaming players and when you find them, most of the time their schedules don't match. The other problem we found is that even for players who dream of becoming pros, they don't treat their game as a sport yet. Meaning that they don't practice at a regular time, they are not willing to put scheduled training time in their calendar and they would classify esports training as a "fun" activity which they would prioritize below other "fun" priorities. Something that would never happen with traditional sports.
That's a lot of complaining haha.
It has been a fun journey though, learned so many things, met with many talented players and we now have a strong team of talented coaches which we trained to adopt traditional sport methodologies. We are currently switching our target to an already built organization amateur and semi-amateurs to support their coaching needs and provide them with affordable professional support. We will be back on the "massive" gamer market but at this moment it forbid our small team to focus on products that would enhance player performance.
I hope that answered the question, even though it was a bit more of an update on our progress.
Did you try to build your own amateur team or had the idea to do so? Would love to hear your gaming story! :)

Do you still have a csgo roaster? How much time did it take you to recruit all five players? And the last question, does the coach actually have such a significant impact on the players? Or is it only about their skill and knowledge of the game? I actually think that coaches have insane importance for counter-strike players. I have also tried to become a professional counter-strike player, but I failed to deliver higher. After that, I haven't played cs for more than five years. I had downloaded it a couple of months ago, and I was surprised by how the https://skincashier.com/blog/csgo-ranks works. It seems like it went from bad to terrible.

We are currently building a 12 weeks test program and are onboarding semi-amateur, high school, and university teams to help us develop further our approach. We are currently not focused on recruiting as many players as we can, as we want to make sure we find the right MVP version of our methodology. As our goal is to help young players become professional or collegiate players, we want to make sure we at least have a decent coaching approach to make an impact on their rank and ultimately their life, as these young athletes are working for their dream.
At this stage, our coaches make the biggest impact on the skill and knowledge area, as they teach players how to play properly. But they also work with our players on non-gaming skills such as competitive mindset, mental reset, communication skills, ... We ran a few 1 months programs and most of our players did rank-up while being within the program, some of them who were actually stuck in Silver 1.
I'm really curious about your story of trying to becoming a professional CS:GO players. I was in a very similar situation as a kid. A few questions come to mind: When was it? Did you spend a long time trying? What level did you reach and what was your biggest achievement? What did you feel were the reason you did not succeed?

We developed an MVP testing methodology and tested it with two students with having regular monitoring with them and their parents. We were able to refine our strategy and understand how we could build such a methodology through products. This will allow us to go away and develop the different products that we want to try out within our MVP

We knew that we wanted to have a 3 men team and Sam introduced me to his good friend Nick. We clicked really quickly and he was really excited about the adventure. We all had a really good vibe, talked business, laughed a lot and decided to give it a go for the next 12 months

I always loved playing Counter-Strike competitively and had a good level at CS 1.6 when I was young. With Covid, I started playing CS:GO again and I started to want to train again to be part of my company corporate esports team. As I was doing a sport program at the same time, I tried to come up with a similar structure for my gaming training as I could convince my wife to let me play for two hours per day, it had to be efficient.
I quickly realize through my research that professional gamers are surrounded by qualified staff, technology and resources to help them improve and perform at a high level. This includes gaming coaches, fitness coaches, nutritionists, mental coaches and career direction.
On my side, I had nothing except from a tons of unorganized and unrated quality Youtube videos. I spotted a problem that I had.
On the same day, I happened to have a call with my friend and co-founder Sam and as he has 10 year experience in tennis coaching, I talked to him about this problem and that it could be fun to try to solve it.
As much as I was excited, I was a bit scared too as we both had side projects, even though mine was really impacted with the Covid situation.
A few hours later, we both decided to take one week to leave our current project and go all-in on this one as it was a topic that we were really passionate about.
On this day, our esports journey started!
