Vetta

Outcome-Based Hiring Marketplace

Visit Website
August 29, 2026 It's been a while, figured it's time for an update on our progress

We are now 8 months in and the response has been up and down, something you'd expect from a new 2 sided marketplace.

We are currently sitting just below 6000 candidates, 80 companies, and 180+ roles filled.

More importantly, our average fill time is 13 days, significantly less than the 40 days it takes on Indeed or the 60 days on Linkedin.

It hasn't been easy street for sure. There are time when I'm giving candidates their first 6 months free to get them on board because they fill a need the employers are looking for.

Vice versa, there are times where I give employers 3 months free to try it because they've been hiring in a space where we have an abundance of candidates.

On the positive side, we launched our communications and scheduling features, and are testing out stripe identify verification to provide a level of protection for employers against bad actors and fake candidates.

The 13-day fill time is probably the strongest signal here.

Curious whether the free periods are still mainly solving the two-sided liquidity problem, or whether some customers are now converting without needing the subsidy.

March 17, 2026 11 roles filled in 9 weeks: Why we’re ditching resumes for outcomes

Traditional hiring is a coin toss because resumes don't predict performance. After seeing this friction firsthand, I launched Vetta to replace subjective interviews with a framework for measuring real engineering potential.

We’ve been live for about two months, and the response has been a bit of a whirlwind:

  • 4,400+ candidates joined the platform.

  • 55 companies are currently hiring through us.

  • 11 roles filled in our first 9 weeks.

The core of what we’re doing is moving toward an outcome-based marketplace. Instead of looking at where someone went to school or their previous job titles, we prioritize proof of work and specific engineering milestones. It turns out that when you provide a high-signal environment, the right matches happen significantly faster.

Good approach, very pain problem, huge market size, original solution...
Everything is beautiful except very big disproportion - 4400 jobseeker and 55 job givers only.
It looks like your main challenge now is to attract great more hiring companies. If you are interested to discuss about I am open to connect.
