July 20, 2026 Import and Export features

The most-used feature in my SSL management SaaS isn't what I expected

When I started building Vizze, I assumed monitoring and expiration alerts would be the most valuable features.

They're important—but while testing with real workflows, I kept running into the same problem before monitoring could even begin:

Getting hundreds of certificates into the system.

Most agencies and IT teams already have an inventory somewhere:

  • Excel spreadsheets

  • CSV exports

  • Internal documentation

  • Asset management tools

No one wants to manually recreate all of that.

So I built CSV import and export much earlier than I originally planned.

Import

Instead of adding certificates one at a time, users can import their existing inventory in seconds.

It makes onboarding dramatically faster, especially for agencies managing dozens or hundreds of client domains.

Export

The export feature ended up being just as important.

People still need to:

  • Share inventories with clients

  • Generate reports

  • Keep offline backups

  • Analyze data in Excel

I realized that users don't want to feel locked into a platform. Exporting everything with a click builds trust.

Ironically, making it easy to leave often makes people more comfortable adopting the product.

The lesson

As founders, we often focus on the "hero" features.

For Vizze, I thought that would be certificate discovery and monitoring.

Instead, one of the biggest usability wins was making onboarding effortless and giving users confidence that their data is always portable.

Sometimes the features that reduce friction create more value than the flashy ones.

I'm curious—what feature did your users end up valuing far more than you expected?

July 16, 2026 Building in public: I'm launching Vizze, an SSL certificate monitoring and management platform.

The idea came from a simple problem: too many businesses still track SSL certificates with spreadsheets and calendar reminders. One missed renewal can mean downtime, lost revenue, and a lot of stress.

With Vizze, you can:
🔒 Monitor SSL certificates across all your websites
📅 Get proactive expiration alerts
🏢 Manage certificates for multiple clients or environments from one dashboard
⚡ Prevent outages before they happen

I'm getting ready for launch and would love feedback from sysadmins, MSPs, agencies, and anyone who manages more than a handful of certificates.

What's the biggest headache you've had with SSL certificate management?

The interesting value isn't monitoring SSL certificates—it's removing the need for someone to remember they exist. I'd keep validating whether customers buy Vizze for the alerts themselves or for the confidence that certificate management has stopped being an operational risk. That distinction can shape how the product is positioned.

About

Vizze exists because SSL certificate management is still far more painful than it should be. Too many businesses, agencies, and IT teams rely on spreadsheets, calendar reminders, and manual processes to track certificate
