WIZT - Where Is It?

We are building the iOS version of WIZT! Extending the reach to iOS users. Due to the demand of people going to our Testflight link.
What we learned:
Although we are self-funded, the development of iOS application is critical to fill in the gaps of efforts for marketing.
We simplified the application for our users!
What we learned from the feedback, there are too many features that confuses our users.
We realized that making the application seamless is the key priority. adding a navigation bar and quicker access for inputs.
We were selected to participate in a local pitching competition @ Seed Stars Global (Singapore).
We rehearsed a lot for this and perfected our pitch. Many startups that were participating gave us suggestions and feedback on our application too!
We are so glad, that many people see our app as useful.

After finding multiple news to get coverage for the pre launch of our app, we were grateful to be covered by Venture Beat! It was a great milestone that we managed to achieve

Hi Josh, we contacted various different media outlets to try and get coverage. I feel the most important thing when pitching to journalists is that have to personalize each pitch and have a content that they are genuinely interested in :)

That's awesome! What was your process for finding news sources? Were you reaching out to multiple organizations or doing something more specific?
As we were not coders ourselves, we needed to seek help in development. We had an outline of what features we wanted to incorporate in the app, and how the whole infrastructure works. We had gone through three developers before finding the perfect one to help us with the development.
The first two developers had issues with their coding / did not submit full source codes / coded an app with many bugs and crashes that was unable to be resolved. There was even one developer who held our admin account as ransom! (Luckily we managed to get it back)
Through each and every step in the way, we also learn valuable lessons on how to source for a reliable coder and how a code should be.
We filed for a PCT Provisional Patent for the methodology on storage of items to protect our intellectual property. At the same time, we are also able to finalize on the features before we file for a full patent
As we both did not have any prior experience in development, we had to start from scratch. We went online to read up and learn on the different kinds of app, types of code, and what is more suited for WIZT
It was frustrating as a newly wedded couple when it came to housekeeping. My husband, Louis and I had so many items and we did not know where it was kept. One day, we had a idea, what if there was a smarter way to organize? That was when the idea of WIZT sprouted.
