Best tool you use to jot down your ideas and organize thoughts on daily basis?

Just pen and paper.

I noticed that a lot of apps for this were very structured and todo-list-like, so I wanted to make something a bit more casual for jotting things down and revisiting your thoughts/ideas.

Personally, I just use apple notes.

I use Bear for notes 🐻 📝 I previously used Evernote and Apple notes. Bear is awesome with markdown formatting !

Pen and paper for jotting day to day
Google keep for... keeping things long term
Amazon wishlist for wants (specifically books)
Todo list is also pen and paper, split into 2 columns up to 25 tasks per categorized as this week and next week

We've been using a shared mindmap for our project for about a month now, and I'm quite happy with it. Unlike unstructured notes, mindmap helps us to preserve context and motivation behind every random idea. All the top-level nodes in the mind tree represent global directions in which we want to improve OneBar, and all the leafs are typically random thoughts, links, ideas, small action items, etc.
We use miro.com for a mindmap, though I'm pretty sure there should be more tools like this.

Google Keep

Yup. I just use Apple Notes for the most part, organization isn't the best but it's hard to argue with the convenience factor.

I use Apple Notes, which I transfer into Notion.

I feel alone between all the Evernote and Todoist fans, but I use Google Keep religiously.

Length might suggest complexity, but I have a rather simple routine built on:

Multiplatform

• todoist for tasks
• evernote for thought organizing as needed

Phone

• voice recorder for personal standup log (phone only for now)

RL

• good old fashioned notebook for logging and detail planning
• whiteboard (cleaned up approx. weekly and archived on paper or converted to action items in todoist)

ALL action items end up in ToDoist for me, they might be written somewhere else first (like during a meeting or something) but I try to immediately follow up with entry into todoist.
