Another anomaly, this is now my highest month ever and it means I hit my end of year goal ($20k total) 2 months early and I've hit 5 digits in a month! 🥳
I got lucky.
I agreed to help a company hire developers and found two people on Twitter who they ended up hiring. I also had the opportunity to give an interactive workshop. Afterwards, they sent out speaker gifts as well.
I'm very new to the recruiting space, but companies are desperate these days. I saw a job posting saying they were offering up to $20k if you help them fill the role. $20k?! For one person! It's wild.
Again, I don't expect to hit these numbers again without getting lucky. But it did open my eyes up to the power of referring candidates to companies and I hope I can do it more. It's certainly a nice side gig as an indie hacker.
If you're hiring developers and want help finding talent, DM me on Twitter.
Total: $14,926.04
Total (year-to-date): $34,678.86

Thanks, Bobby!
Amazing congratulations!
Thanks, Kelvin!
Killing it, Joe! I'm sure you'll get to the point where this is just a regular month, no luck needed.
Thanks, Jack! Haha hopefully! Just gonna find a way to make this repeatable :)
Congrats @jsjoeio

Yes! Here is a link: https://joes-jobs.pallet.xyz/jobs
How does the job referral/commission stuff work?
Basically I talk to companies who are hiring developers -> ask if they offer a referral bonus -> we agree on a number -> I send them candidates -> if they hire one, I send an invoice and get paid
