Biggest drop-off for me is logging friction. Fitness apps can have great plans, but if the nutrition side asks for too much typing or perfect tracking, I stop opening it. The apps that stick make the “capture” moment almost instant, then let me clean it up later.

For AdaptiFit, I’d test the injury/adaptation flow with messy real inputs: skipped workout, half-logged meal, sore shoulder, no time today. If the app still gives a small next step instead of making the user feel behind, that’s probably the retention unlock.

Really like this. Making workouts adapt to real progress feels like something people would actually stick with. Excited to see where you take it. How are you finding your first testers so far?

    1. 1

Thank you! AdaptiFit is still in the final stages of being built, so I don’t have testers yet. I’ll definitely share updates and progress once it’s launched in the next couple of weeks — really excited to get it into people’s hands soon.

Congrats on the launch — awesome UX! Quick idea: a 15s explainer showing [feature benefit] could help conversion on the landing page. Happy to share what motion graphics is best for this App— Emmanuel (motion graphics )”

Thanks so much, Emmanuel! Really appreciate the feedback and the idea — a short explainer could definitely help with conversions. I may take you up on that offer around motion graphics, that could be a great fit for AdaptiFit.

This is awesome Nicholas - I have an app called ImprvHealth on the app store that is similar in nature. Best of luck and success to you!

Thanks so much! I’ll definitely check out ImprvHealth — always cool to see others working on similar ideas in the space. Wishing you continued success as well!

Thanks Nicholas! I’m a big fan of corrective exercise and exercise in general. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Ben! Couldn’t agree more — corrective work really is the foundation for long-term progress. I downloaded ImprvHealth too, really like the setup. Excited to see where we can both take this space!

Love that! One of my favorite certifications was the NASM CES! Thanks for the support! I’ll definitely be on the lookout for when you launch!

Those are great certifications — you really know your stuff! Thanks so much for the support, I really appreciate it.

Looks great! I'd be careful with the green, especially on your primary CTAs - it's not a very accessible colour. Try a colour contrast checker like WebAIM colour contrast checker to get foreground and background colours everyone can see (aim for WCAG AAA, but AA is good too). About 8% of men and 0.5% of women are colourblind and won't be able to read text on your buttons for instance.

That’s a great point, Silke — really appreciate you bringing this up. Accessibility is something I definitely want to get right. The green is core to the brand, but I’ll make sure CTAs and buttons have enough contrast to be readable for everyone (dark backgrounds, bold text, etc.). I’ll also check them with WebAIM like you suggested. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

No problem at all! Happy to help. Looks like a great product

Love this! How does AdaptiFit decide which corrective exercises to prioritize for each injury type?

    1. 1

Thank you! And great question, Sonu! Right now AdaptiFit prioritizes corrective exercises based on the injury or pain point a user enters during onboarding. For example, if someone mentions knee pain, it’ll work in glute activation, hip mobility, and lower body stability work. The long-term goal is to make it even smarter by pulling from a wider database and adapting as users give feedback.

      1. 1

Thanks for explaining! Really cool how AdaptiFit tailors exercises to each user’s specific needs.

        1. 1

Thanks so much! I really appreciate that! I’ve got some exciting plans to make Adaptifit even smarter with deeper recovery and injury tracking — more to come soon.

AdaptiFit is the first fitness app that adapts to injuries in real time. Unlike generic workout apps, it creates personalized training plans that integrate corrective and injury-prevention exercises based on your goals, experience, equipment, and any existing pain or injuries. It also offers AI coaching, nutrition plans, and a recovery mode. Built to help users stay consistent even when dealing with setbacks, AdaptiFit keeps you progressing safely.

Thanks Grace, that’s an awesome way to put it — you summed up the vision really well.

This is really smart, Nicholas. I like how you built correctives into the routine instead of just pausing everything when something hurts.

I’ve been working on automations that send personalized outreach and content workflows myself, and this just reminds me: personalization is what makes the difference in retention and trust.

Quick question, did you build in toggles so the app shifts priorities when injury is severe vs mild? I'm curious how you balance pushing progress vs protecting joints.

    1. 1

Thanks Mike! Yes — personalization and retention are exactly what I’m aiming for. I designed it so that when injuries are mild, the app layers corrective work into the regular training flow. When things are more severe, it automatically shifts into a recovery-first mode with mobility, rehab, and modified progressions so users can still train without making things worse.

It’s all about keeping people moving safely instead of hitting pause every time something hurts.

About

I built AdaptiFit because most fitness apps ignore the realities of injury, setbacks, and busy lives. I wanted something that adapts to you—adjusting workouts, adding rehab, and keeping you moving forward no matter what.
