Clockout
Clockout is a time tracking and invoicing tool for freelance
I started building Clockout because a few of my family members freelance, and every time I looked at their setup it felt absurd.
One tool for time tracking. Another for invoices. Another for projects. Then a bunch of manual follow-up just to get paid.
So I built the version I wished they had.
Clockout is basically:
time tracking
clients / projects / tasks
invoices from tracked work
estimates
recurring invoices
payment follow-ups
Stripe payments
web, desktop, and mobile
The core loop is simple:
track work → review sessions → send invoice → follow up → get paid
It started as a small tool and definitely grew more than I expected, which is why I’m trying to get real feedback now before I keep polishing in a vacuum.
If you freelance, I’d love to know:
what’s the most annoying part of your workflow right now?
would you want one tool for all of this?
or do you prefer separate tools?
Happy to share it with anyone willing to be brutally honest.
Im looking for users free or paid and open to feedback. I'm iterating daily.

Time tracking + invoicing in one place makes a lot of sense — especially for freelancers juggling multiple clients.
What’s your angle for standing out in a pretty crowded space?

I was initially just adding features for members of my family members to recreate their flow with time tracking to invoicing. Then later I decided I wanted to add features to do what Harvest did but maybe with a more modern feel. My angle was a more configurable version of Harvest, but I'm still fleshing out where this belongs.

That makes sense — a more configurable Harvest sounds useful, but I think the challenge in this space is less features and more positioning.
A lot of tools like this seem to stand out by focusing on a very specific group first (freelancers, agencies, consultants, developers, etc.) rather than trying to compete with Harvest directly on features.

I agree with what you are saying. I think Clockout focuses on freelancers and small teams in the online space. (We don't have a team yet but it will focus on one when one joins). I've added all the escape hatches and configurability nuances with creating invoices and time tracking that may annoy solo freelancers.
Thanks for the feedback!

About
I have freelancers in my family and I decided to make them a tool to track their time and help them make and send invoices.
