FOOD FESTIVAL 3

A Playable Cartoon with Real-Life Cooking.

August 27, 2025 Most mobile games manipulate your emotions.

We wanted to see what happens when you build one that respects them.

In the mobile space, a lot of design revolves around pressure: timers, fail states, ads, and endless “come back now” notifications. That model works for retention, but it often leaves players — especially kids and parents — feeling drained instead of inspired.

With our latest project Food Festival 3, we asked ourselves a different question: what if a cooking game could feel like a cartoon you can actually play? Something calm, colorful, and cozy, where you make food step by step the way you would in real life. A space that’s safe for children, engaging for families, and still fun for anyone who enjoys casual cooking games.

That’s how we ended up designing a playable cartoon cooking experience built around curiosity rather than stress. No timers. No fail screens. No ads. Just the joy of creating, experimenting, and sharing food in a playful way.

We think games don’t always need to manipulate emotions to be meaningful. Sometimes, respecting the player is the best design choice.

July 31, 2025 Why We Designed Food Festival 3 for Everyone — Even Kids

With Food Festival 3, we’re not targeting a specific age group. We’re creating a game that anyone can enjoy — even kids, but not only kids. It’s not a “children cooking game” or just a burger maker kids app. It’s a cozy, casual space where anyone can feel good.

At its core, it’s designed for adults who are tired of pressure, timers, and loud gameplay. Food Festival 3 offers a slow rhythm, minimal noise, soft kitchen game mechanics, and visually pleasing feedback. We want the experience to feel safe and satisfying — something you can return to after a long day.

No energy bars. No ads. No rush.
Just a relaxing burger cooking game with gentle time management flow — a digital comfort zone that feels closer to a cooking simulator than a competitive restaurant game.

We also built the game with families in mind. Not as a strict educational game or a classic kids cooking game, but as a shared space that might inspire real conversations and even food preparation at home. Our design encourages intuitive cooking for kids, while still being meaningful for grown-ups.

You’ll find elements of burger shop, cooking madness, cooking diary, even cooking mama — but without the noise.
Our goal? A calm, creative kitchen experience that works for kids, adults, and anyone in between.

If you’re into family games, cooking games for girls and boys, or just want something peaceful and beautiful to play offline — that’s what Food Festival 3 is for.

July 24, 2025 From One Burger to a Whole Food Universe — Our Plan for a Growing Game

Big thanks to everyone who supported and commented on our last post 🙏
We wanted to share a bit more about where Food Festival 3 is going — and why it’s about more than just burgers.

Yes, we’re starting with burgers — but even in that category, there’s variety: veggie burgers, fish burgers, sushi-style burgers, and more. We’ve put real care into the recipes (even if they’re playful) — and balanced indulgent dishes with healthier, more diverse options.

But burgers are just the beginning.

Our long-term goal is to grow this into a scalable food universe, with every update unlocking a new culinary space: pizza stations, BBQ setups, ice cream trucks, salad bars, and global street food. Each food type will bring its own mechanics, ingredients, and style.

We’re not thinking in terms of "levels" or "expansions" — we’re thinking in terms of worldbuilding through food.
And we’re building the tech, pipelines, and art direction to make that possible — one dish at a time.

The plan is:
✅ Keep expanding the game with themed content updates
✅ Keep food diverse — both fun and balanced
✅ Keep the core experience clean, cozy, and built to last

Launch is on August 15. We’d love your thoughts, especially if you’re also building projects that evolve over time or love thinking about how to scale simple ideas into rich ecosystems.

July 22, 2025 Most Mobile Games Manipulate Your Emotions.

We’re Building One That Respects Them.

We’re an indie team working on Food Festival 3 — a cozy, animated cooking game that doesn’t try to keep players addicted or anxious.

Most mobile games today are designed around pressure:
⏱ timers,
⚠️ fail states,
🎯 streaks,
🔁 dopamine loops.

They play with your attention, your urgency, your fear of missing out.
We don’t want to build that.

Instead, Food Festival 3 is a Playable Cartoon
a fully animated, low-pressure game where you cook real food, explore food trucks, and enjoy the process.

✅ No timers or ads
✅ No “you failed” messages
✅ Just intuitive cooking, real recipes, and soft interaction
✅ Designed to be emotionally safe and mentally rewarding

We’re making something parents want to share with their kids — and that anyone can open after a long day without feeling drained.

Really cool concept — I love how you’re creating an evolving world around food mechanics. I'm working on a different kind of project that also grows over time: an online Quran learning platform. If you're curious, you can search for 'zeenatulquran dot online'. Would love to know your thoughts!

Looks like a promising product/venture. An interesting and unique (to me) way to get kids interested in cooking. I'm not sure burgers and pizza are the best starting recipes however - I would suggest healthier options. See examples of these in the High Five magazine. It would be good to correct some spelling and cosmetic issues with your marketing copy. "Playeble" should be "playable". The Pizza stand is mirrored.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! We're planning to expand and make our project even more global by adding more and more dishes to the game. For now, we're starting with the kinds of food that are most commonly seen at real-life food festivals.

We’ve already included some healthy burger options — like veggie and vegetarian versions — and we’ll definitely be introducing even more nutritious dishes as the game grows.

We truly appreciate your feedback and will absolutely take it into account!

July 10, 2025 We Hired a Real Chef to Build Our Cooking Game — Here's What Happened

At TATOMAMO, we’re building Food Festival 3 — a cozy, family-friendly mobile game where players cook colorful meals in a playful, ad-free environment.

From the start, we didn’t want to create just another casual cooking game.
We wanted to build a real cooking simulator — something that feels fun, but also grounded in actual food logic.

So we did something unusual for a mobile game studio:
👉 We brought a professional chef into the game design process.

💡 Why a Chef?
We noticed that most mobile food games felt... disconnected from actual food.

  • Ingredients don’t behave like they do in real life.

  • Everything’s super polished, but not grounded.

  • And the gameplay often feels repetitive or frustrating for younger players.

Our chef had worked in high-end restaurants, and instead of just “consulting,” he became part of the design team. Together, we:

  • Recreated real food behavior in Unity (from meat texture to sauce physics)

  • Based every recipe on real-world logic

  • Built stackable systems that mimic actual food prep (what slides, what melts, what holds structure)

  • Made sure everything in the game could be cooked at home

What It Changed for the Business

    💡 Better Differentiation
“The only family cooking game with real recipes” is a strong positioning point in the crowded casual market.

    🧠 Increased Retention Signals
Playtesters (especially parents) responded positively to the fact that gameplay translated into real-life cooking activities.

    📈 Content Strategy
We’re planning to release actual recipe cards and simple tutorials, extending the game’s value beyond the screen.

    🎯 Sharable, Organic Hooks
Players naturally talked about the food, not just the game — which made it easier to seed on social and forums.

    🛠️ Still Cooking…

We’re getting ready for launch, and continuing to improve the feel of food.
We’re also talking to creators to bring in even more real-world recipes and chef-led ideas.

There’s a lot of love behind this game — from food, to code, to cozy moments.

Are you building it in Unity? How many owners does this game has? Also, what are the conditions for being on board with you?

    1. 1

Yes, we're building it in Unity! The owner is Maksym Kochurin — he also founded DevGame (maybe you’ve heard of the “Masha and the Bear: Pizzeria” game?).

Right now, we’re a small team doing everything in-house. If you’re interested in joining or collaborating, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to drop us a line🙌

How do you approach combining education + entertainment in your product?

We’re trying to make “learning by doing” fun, but always open to ideas!

    1. 1

Same here! We believe “play” is one of the best ways to learn — especially for kids. In our game, players recreate real recipes step-by-step, which teaches them cooking logic without pressure. Would love to hear your take on that!

About

We’re building Food Festival 3 because we believe cooking games can be more than mindless tapping. Kids and families deserve a fun, safe, and truly interactive experience that inspires them to try real recipes together.
