5-min AI Voice Interviews to Publish Ready Case Studies
StoryVoice launches on Product Hunt on Sunday, July 26. Locking the date forced a set of decisions I couldn't find clean answers for anywhere, so here's what I landed on, in case it helps the next person:
1) I turned down a sponsored theme day. PH offered "Vercel Day" (July 16): a branded leaderboard and a shot at $12k in credits. Sounds great until you see last month's edition pulled 781 launches in a single day. A B2B marketing tool competing against 780 devtools, judged by a developer audience, for credits I barely use. Easy no.
2) Sunday over Tuesday. Everyone says Tue-Thu for traffic, but that's also when the funded launches with big hunter networks pile up. With no vote network, mid-pack on a Tuesday means invisible by lunch. The detail that decided it: PH doesn't send its daily newsletter for Friday/Saturday results, but a Sunday win lands in the Monday digest. Quiet day, real upside.
3) One offer only. We had a lifetime deal on the site and a 20% launch code ready. Stacking both in the listing reads bargain-bin, so the PH page carries just the code and the site keeps the LTD. One confident offer beats two nervous ones.
4) Warming up 11 days early. Two genuine discussion threads on the PH forums this week, zero self-promo. An account that materializes on launch day reads as astroturf, to the community and probably to the featuring team too.
If you've launched on a weekend: did the Monday newsletter actually show up for you, or is that just theory? I'll post the numbers here after the 26th either way.
(StoryVoice, if you're new here: your customer talks to a voice AI for 5 minutes, and you get a publish-ready case study in their voice, plus the LinkedIn post, X post, pull quote, and sales email to promote it.)
I kept seeing the same gap at company after company: hundreds of happy customers, and only a handful of case studies.
It's never that the stories aren't there. It's that producing them is painful. To get one case study you chase the customer, schedule a 45-minute call, get them onto a blank Google Doc or a long interview, transcribe it, write it, and run it through edits. Three to six weeks per story. So teams ration them, two or three a year against a customer base of hundreds.
The insight I kept coming back to: almost nobody fills in a written testimonial form, but almost everybody will happily talk for five minutes.
So I built StoryVoice around exactly that. You send a customer a link. They talk to an AI interviewer for about five minutes, whenever suits them, with no call to schedule and no blank page to face. StoryVoice turns that conversation into a publish-ready case study in their own voice, plus a LinkedIn post, an X post, a pull quote, and a sales email.
The bet is simple: make a case study cost five minutes of your customer's time instead of three weeks of yours, and the backlog of untold stories finally starts to clear.
It's still early, but that's the idea. Happy to answer anything about how it works.

Companies have hundreds of happy customers but only a few case studies, because producing them is painful. With StoryVoice, a customer talks to an AI for 5 minutes and you get a publish-ready case study in their voice.
