WatBox
Connect every customer moment, inside Salesforce
As an indie hacker who transitioned from pure Salesforce consulting (Inno Valley Works) to also owning a product (WatBox), I wanted to share where we are and what we’re learning. For years, I helped clients customize Salesforce; the repeated pattern was the same: most serious customer conversations were happening on WhatsApp, but none of that context reached Salesforce without painful manual work.
WatBox is our answer: Salesforce CRM + WhatsApp + AI in a single engagement layer. Teams use it to:
Run WhatsApp-first outreach and follow-ups for leads and candidates
Coordinate support, reminders, and updates directly from Salesforce
Let AI assist with templates and suggested replies while humans stay in control
A few things I’m currently working through as a bootstrapped/indie-style founder:
Balancing services cashflow from Salesforce projects with product roadmap velocity
Choosing between going narrow on one vertical (e.g., recruitment or real estate) vs. staying horizontal
Pricing for value in emerging markets while selling from a US legal entity (Wilmington)
If you’ve walked this path - especially “consulting → product on top of the same platform” - I’d love to hear what worked (and didn’t) for you. Also happy to answer anything about building on Salesforce, WhatsApp Business Cloud, or running a distributed India- US setup.

I’m Anu, Director of Technology at WatBox and Managing Director at Inno Valley Works, a boutique Salesforce consulting and product studio based out of Coimbatore and Wilmington. For the last few years, my work has lived at the intersection of Salesforce implementations and “messy real-world communication” — sales and support teams spending their day on WhatsApp while leadership expects Salesforce dashboards to be the single source of truth.
We built WatBox because those two worlds rarely talk to each other. WatBox makes WhatsApp (and SMS) feel native inside Salesforce:
Send and receive WhatsApp messages right from leads, contacts, and cases
Automate flows and campaigns using WhatsApp, not just email
Keep every conversation logged in CRM for reporting, compliance, and handover
Right now we’re focused on teams that already live in Salesforce but rely heavily on WhatsApp: recruitment, real estate, education, and fast-moving services. I’d love feedback from this community on:
What would make a WhatsApp–CRM tool “good enough to switch” for you?
What metrics would you track first (reply time, conversions, NPS, something else)?
If this is relevant to you, I’m happy to share our early product decisions, tech stack, and go-to-market experiments in a follow-up post.

I’m building WatBox to make WhatsApp and SMS truly native inside Salesforce, so teams can sell, market, and support directly from real-time conversations with all data captured in CRM
