I'm building ClientDock, a lightweight onboarding/handoff portal for freelancers a branded space where clients can upload documents, fill in forms, and track project status, instead of chasing everything over email or WhatsApp.

Two buyers hide behind "freelancers." The solo designer wants a simple client intake form to look professional (needs templates, $29 one-time mindset). The agency owner needs white-label onboarding for 20 monthly clients with automated workflows, custom branding, and CRM integrations (needs enterprise features, $200/mo budget). Your name and positioning speak to the solo freelancer. The agency buyer sees "for freelancers" and thinks "too small for my team."

Since you built this from your own freelance workflow, what was actually costing you the most before ClientDock — waiting on missing assets, keeping track of what had arrived, or the back-and-forth with the client?

Honestly, it was the back-and-forth. I'd ask a client for logos or copy, they'd forget, I'd follow up three times, still unclear what arrived. I built ClientDock so clients get one clear link to upload everything no more chasing, no more guessing what's still missing.

That makes sense. The fact that the real cost was the chasing rather than the asset collection itself is what caught my attention.
