MadeOnSol Month 3: $343 MRR, self-calculated market caps, and we stopped relying on third-party APIs
Hey everyone, mid-month 3 update on MadeOnSol — a Solana trading intelligence platform I'm building solo. Things moved fast this month.
—
Revenue
$343 MRR from 7 Pro subscribers at $49/month each. All paying in USDC on Solana. No Stripe, no credit cards.
Infrastructure costs: ~$144/month. That's $199/month profit. Went from break-even to nearly 2.4x my costs in about 3 weeks.
Also launched a Trader tier at $25/month — Telegram bot alerts for people who don't need the API. Lower barrier, bigger audience.
Every single customer found us organically. Zero outbound, zero ads.
—
Biggest ship this month: self-calculated market caps
This was a major infrastructure project. We now calculate every token price and market cap from our own gRPC streams — parsing on-chain balance diffs from every swap across 11 Solana DEXes in real-time.
No Dexscreener API. No Birdeye API. No third-party dependencies for pricing.
Why this matters: every KOL trade now shows the exact market cap at time of entry. Every deployer alert shows MC at launch. This unlocks entirely new analytics:
- What's a KOL's average entry MC? Do they buy micro-caps or mid-caps?
- When a KOL scout buys at $3K MC and followers pile in at $25K MC, how big is the spread?
- Which deployer tier produces the highest MC tokens?
- What MC range has the best risk/reward for copy trading?
None of this was possible when we relied on external price APIs. Now it's all internal data we own and control.
The technical approach: we use VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) over a 5-minute rolling window with outlier rejection for price stability. Supply is fetched via RPC on first trade and polled periodically for burn detection. Burns are also caught in real-time through our existing Token Program gRPC stream.
—
Other features shipped
- KOL Scout Leaderboard — ranks traders by how often their first buy on a token pulls in other KOLs within 4 hours. Top scout has a 52% swarm rate vs 14% baseline.
- First Touch KOL tracking — see who bought first and who followed
- Telegram Bot — real-time alerts for KOL buys, deployer launches, coordination signals. Free /digest for everyone, real-time from $25/mo.
- 50 new KOL wallets added — now tracking 1,050+
- Crossed 100,000 API calls served
—
Platform stats
- 17,000+ Pump.fun deployers profiled and scored
- 47,000+ alpha wallets scored from 1.1M+ buyer records
- 161,000+ human wallets indexed
- 1,063 Solana tools in the directory across 30 categories
- 287 guides published
—
SEO & AI search
- Google indexed pages: 7,652 (was 2,219 last month)
- Bing AI citations: 3,400+
- Domain rating: 3.3 with 92 backlinks from 70 referring domains
- ChatGPT, DuckDuckGo, Perplexity all sending traffic
- 70 referring domains — almost doubled from 46 without me actively building links. Other sites are linking to us organically.
The AI citation growth continues to be the most surprising channel. We didn't optimize for it. We just built detailed, structured content and AI search engines decided we're a reliable source.
—
API growth
- 108,000+ total API calls (was 22,000 last update)
- 1,553 calls/day
- 45 unique API users
- 86% of traffic from Pro subscribers — they're building production systems, not just testing
- Unauth scraper traffic: 0% (Cloudflare firewall rules working)
—
What's working
1. Self-calculated pricing is a moat. Nobody else combines self-sourced MC data with KOL intelligence and deployer scoring. It's all from our own infrastructure.
2. Telegram bot lowers the barrier. Not everyone needs an API. $25/month for alerts in Telegram converts a much wider audience.
3. Organic backlinks are compounding. 70 referring domains without active link building. Good content attracts links.
4. KOL Scout leaderboard is sticky. Traders check it daily to find the wallets worth following.
5. AI search keeps growing without effort. 3,400+ citations and counting.
—
What's next
- Chrome extension — overlay KOL and deployer data on Pump.fun, Axiom, GMGN, Dexscreener
- Candle data API — since we own price data, we can generate OHLCV candles
- MC-weighted KOL leaderboards — rank KOLs by performance at different MC ranges
- Annual pricing (2 months free)
- Smart Money Dashboard — paid website subscription for non-developers
- Partnership with Trade Router (verified Solana trading protocol) — our intelligence + their execution
—

MadeOnSol Month 3: $196 MRR, profitable, and the data is getting serious
Hey everyone, month 3 update on MadeOnSol — a Solana trading intelligence platform I'm building solo. We hit profitability this month.
—
Revenue
$196 MRR from 4 Pro subscribers at $49/month each, all paying in USDC on Solana. No Stripe, no credit cards — wallet connect and pay. Total infrastructure costs are ~$144/month, so we're now cash flow positive.
Went from 0 → 1 → 2 → 4 paying users over the last 6 weeks. No sales calls, no outbound. They all found us organically through search engines and AI citations.
—
Platform stats
The data pipeline has grown massively:
- 1.1 million+ buyer records indexed
- 161,000+ human wallets indexed
- 17,000+ Pump.fun deployers profiled and scored
- 1,000 KOL wallets tracked in real-time
- 22,000+ API calls (was 1,100 last month)
- 45 registered developers (was 21 last month)
We monitor every swap across 11 DEX programs on Solana in real-time using dual gRPC streams from validators in Frankfurt and New York. Detection latency is under 3 seconds.
—
New features shipped this month
- Wallet Tracker — users track custom wallets (Free: 10, Pro: 50, Ultra: 100) with real-time alerts
- DEX Firehose — WebSocket stream of every swap across 11 DEXes with server-side filtering by token, wallet, DEX, minimum SOL, action type, and deployer tier
- Chrome extension in development — contextual KOL and deployer data overlaid on Pump.fun, Axiom, GMGN, Dexscreener
- Alpha Wallet Scoring — 47,000+ wallets scored by early-buyer performance on Pump.fun tokens
- Full security audit and code quality refactor
- Added LetsBonk and Bags.app as new DEX programs (9 → 11)
- Annual pricing option (2 months free)
—
SEO & AI search
This is where it gets wild:
- Google indexed pages: 9 → 7,652 (94% of sitemap)
- Bing AI citations: 3,400+ across 19 pages
- ChatGPT is now sending us click-through traffic
- DuckDuckGo is our 2nd biggest referrer
- Domain Rating: 3.4 (50 backlinks, 37 referring domains)
- Google impressions: 9,660
The AI citation growth went vertical in mid-April. We didn't optimize for AI search at all — we just wrote detailed, honest content about every Solana tool and the AI engines decided we're a reliable source.
I genuinely believe AI search optimization (AIO?) is going to be a bigger deal than traditional SEO within the next year. If you're building content, make it structured, detailed, and genuinely useful — AI will find you.
—
Traffic
- 1,420 unique visitors last 7 days (+190%)
- 3,180 page views
- Referrers: Bing 26%, DuckDuckGo 19%, X/Twitter 13%, Reddit 12%, BetaList 10%, Google 5%, ChatGPT 2%
- Countries: US 22%, Vietnam 8% (scrapers — we added Cloudflare firewall rules), Germany 5%, Belgium 4%
We had a scraper problem from Asian residential proxies that inflated our bounce rate to 91%. Built Cloudflare firewall rules to challenge traffic from Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, and Indonesia without a search engine referrer. Bounce rate is recovering.
—
Infrastructure
Running everything on a single dedicated Hetzner server:
- Intel Xeon E-2176G (6 cores / 12 threads)
- 64GB ECC RAM
- 2x 960GB NVMe in RAID1
- 2x 1.92TB SATA SSD in RAID1
- About €100/month
Plus ~€30/month for gRPC validator nodes. Total: ~€132/month (~$144).
This server can handle 500-1,000 active API users before needing to scale. By the time we need a second server, revenue will more than cover it.
Ran a full security audit this month: found 2 critical issues (missing RLS on payment tables, SSRF in webhook delivery), both fixed same day. Plus dependency updates, React hook fixes, and code quality refactoring.
—
What's working
1. Programmatic SEO at scale — 7,652 indexed pages means 7,652 chances for someone to find us on Google. Long-tail keywords that nobody else targets.
2. AI search is free distribution — 3,400 citations without trying. This compounds.
3. Free tier drives paid conversions — developers start with 200 calls/day, build something real, then upgrade to Pro.
4. USDC payments remove friction — crypto users don't want to enter credit card details. Wallet connect + pay in 10 seconds.
5. Data moat deepens every day — 1.1 million buyer records and 180 days of KOL history. A competitor starting today can't replicate this overnight.
—
What's next
- Chrome extension launch — overlay KOL and deployer data on trading sites
- Alpha Wallet Scoring API endpoint — POST any wallet, get a score based on early-buyer performance
- Annual pricing to reduce churn
- Blog content targeting "solana grpc stream" and "solana dex api" keywords
- RPC provider marketplace submissions (QuickNode, Helius)
- Smart Money Dashboard — paid website subscription for non-developers (broader audience than API)
—
Numbers summary

Hey 👋 really impressive progress — going from 0 to profitability in just 3 months, especially in the Solana space, is not easy
I like how you’ve built strong organic traction through SEO and AI citations — that’s a solid foundation
At this stage, adding targeted traffic on top of your organic growth could accelerate user acquisition significantly
We help early-stage platforms scale through creator-driven promotion across channels like YouTube, Twitter, and niche communities
If you’re open, I can share a few ideas on how to push this to the next level 🚀

MadeOnSol Month 2 Recap: $0 to $98 MRR, 2,219 indexed pages, 1,900 AI citations — entering Month 3
Hey everyone, wanted to share a transparent update on MadeOnSol — a Solana ecosystem intelligence platform I've been building solo. Just wrapped month 2 and entering month 3 now.
The short version: I went from idea to first paying customers spending nothing on marketing. Here's everything that happened.
—
What MadeOnSol does
I track 1,000+ crypto KOL (Key Opinion Leader) wallets on Solana in real-time. Every buy, every sell, detected in under 3 seconds across 9 DEX programs. I also score 6,700+ Pump.fun token deployers by their historical success rate, so traders can check if a token creator is legit before buying.
The website has free tools anyone can use — KOL leaderboards, deployer lookup, a directory of 1,000+ Solana tools. The API lets developers plug this data into their own trading bots, alert systems, and dashboards.
—
Revenue
$98 MRR from 2 Pro subscribers at $49/month each. Both paying in USDC on Solana — no Stripe, no credit cards. First payment came about halfway through month 2. Second followed a few days later.
I also have a free tier (200 requests/day) with 21 registered users and over 1,100 API requests so far. The most-used endpoints are the KOL trade feed (40%) and PnL leaderboard (32%).
—
Traffic & SEO
947 unique visitors last month. 7,890 page views. Average visit duration is 5 minutes 48 seconds — people are actually using the tools, not just bouncing.
Traffic sources: Google (38%), X/Twitter (25%), Bing (17%), Reddit (8%), Perplexity AI (4%), DuckDuckGo and Yandex making appearances too.
The SEO story is wild. Google indexed 9 pages when I started. Today: 2,219 pages indexed out of a 3,800+ page sitemap. Programmatic pages (tool listings, comparisons, alternatives, best-of pages) are getting indexed fast now that domain authority is building.
Backlink profile: DR 3.2 on Ahrefs, 32 referring domains, 45 backlinks (56% dofollow). Built entirely through directory submissions, dev.to posts, a viral Reddit post on r/Supabase (35K views), and honest content.
—
AI search is real
This is the part that surprised me most. Bing's AI has cited MadeOnSol 1,900+ times across 12 different pages. Perplexity AI is sending actual click-through traffic. I didn't optimize for AI at all — I just wrote detailed, honest content about Solana tools and the AI search engines picked it up as a reliable source.
I think this is an underrated growth channel for indie hackers. If you're building content that's genuinely the best source on a topic, AI will find you and cite you automatically.
—
Infrastructure
Started on a €15/month Hetzner VPS (4 vCPU, 8GB RAM). Quickly outgrew it as I needed more storage for trade data. This week I migrated to a dedicated Hetzner server:
- Intel Xeon E-2176G (6 cores / 12 threads)
- 64GB ECC RAM
- 2x 960GB NVMe in RAID1 for the database
- 2x 1.92TB SATA SSD in RAID1 for backups
- About €100/month total
The whole stack is self-hosted: Next.js, Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth), Nginx, Docker, dual gRPC streams for real-time Solana data. Total infra cost including RPC providers is about €132/month. With 2 Pro subscribers I'm almost at break-even.
—
What's working
1. Free tools drive signups. The KOL tracker and deployer lookup are free on the website. People use them, realize the data is valuable, then want the API or alerts.
2. Build in public on X gets engagement. Technical posts about gRPC streams, database optimization, and infrastructure get developers interested.
3. SEO compounds. Month 1 was slow but indexing accelerated dramatically in month 2. Expect month 3 to bring significantly more organic traffic.
4. AI citations are free distribution. Nearly 2,000 times an AI told someone about MadeOnSol. Can't buy that.
5. USDC payments remove friction for crypto users. No KYC, no credit card forms. Wallet connect and pay.
—
What's next for month 3
- New API endpoints: per-wallet PnL breakdown, trending tokens feed, KOL convergence signals
- Website subscription tiers for non-developers (smart money dashboard, token scanner)
- Extended data retention — keeping months of history instead of 31 days now that storage isn't a constraint
- KOL watchlists and email alerts to drive more signups
- First 20 buyer analysis on every Pump.fun launch — identifying winning wallets automatically
- Continue backlink building toward DR 5+
—

Update on MadeOnSol — the honest Solana tool directory.
Quick context if you're new: MadeOnSol is a curated directory of 815+ Solana ecosystem tools with free intelligence tools built on top. No paid rankings, ever. Previous posts cover the backstory.
What shipped this week:
KOL Tracker is live — monitors what the biggest Solana wallets actually buy on-chain, not what they tweet. Every KOL profile has a Deployer Score showing what % of their buys come from tracked deployers.
Connected KOL Tracker and Deployer Hunter so they feed each other. When a tracked deployer launches a token and KOLs start buying, you see it on both sides instantly. This is the strongest on-chain signal I've seen anyone offer for free.
Tool count: 600 → 815 across 26 categories
Blog guides: now at 120+
Removed Wallet X-Ray, CTO Radar, and Token Scanner to focus on the tools that matter most: Deployer Hunter, KOL Tracker, TikTok Trend Detector, and Token Launcher
Added TikTok Trend Detector — scans viral TikTok videos that could become memecoins, updated every few minutes, community-scored
SEO / indexing (the ongoing battle):
Google indexed: 205 pages out of ~1,580 total
1,365 pages stuck in "Discovered — currently not indexed"
Daily impressions: 50-60 with occasional clicks
First 7 impressions on Bing
Started submitting to real ecosystem directories today: DappRadar (under review), Launching Next, and a few others from a list I'm working through
The indexing problem is 100% a domain authority issue. Google sees all my pages but won't crawl them because I don't have enough backlinks telling it my site is worth the crawl budget. Every directory submission and legitimate backlink helps chip away at this.
Revenue: still $0
Not stressing about this yet. The affiliate links are wired up on trading bot pages — when traffic comes, the monetization path is there. Right now every hour goes into getting Google to actually index my site.
Biggest lesson this week:
Kill features that dilute focus. I removed three tools this week. It felt wrong at first, but the product is cleaner now. Deployer Hunter + KOL Tracker working together is a stronger story than five separate tools that each do something average.
Costs: ~€140/month. Hetzner VPS, Supabase, Kaldera RPC, Resend for email. That's it.
Next up:
Solana ecosystem GitHub PR (solana-labs/ecosystem repo) — highest value backlink I can get
Data research post using Deployer Hunter stats to create something linkable
Outreach to smaller projects I list, asking them to link back to their MadeOnSol listing
Product Hunt launch
Happy to answer questions. Especially interested if anyone here has cracked the "new directory with no backlinks" problem.

Week 2 update on MadeOnSol — the honest Solana tool directory.
Since my first post, here's what happened:
SEO / Indexing:
- Google indexed pages: 40 → 173 (and climbing)
- 2,300 URLs discovered by Bing (just submitted sitemap today)
- Published a data-driven article on HackerNoon analyzing 466,000 token launches — waiting on editorial review
- Backlinks: 26 across 7 linking websites (up from near-zero)
- Created profiles on GitHub, Product Hunt, Indie Hackers, Dev.to for legitimate backlinks
Product:
- Shipped 9 community features in one update: review replies, private messaging, achievements, weekly leaderboard with SOL rewards, tool watchlists, follow system, reputation points, new badges, and admin monitoring
- Launched Token Scanner — paste any Solana token, get an instant 0-100 risk score checking contract authority, holder concentration, bundle detection, and deployer history
- Added creator fee claiming for token launchers
- Now tracking 600+ tools (up from 530+)
Traction:
- First organic tool claim + review from GetBlock (24K X followers) — completely unprompted
- Started daily tool spotlight posts on X, tagging each tool — some engage and retweet
- Launched a review reward program: top 3 reviewers each month earn 0.25 SOL
- 2 registered users organically
Costs:
- Cancelled Plausible Cloud (€16/mo), migrated to self-hosted Umami — €0
- Locked in annual RPC plan at 50% discount — saving $294/year
- Total monthly cost: ~€140
- Revenue: still $0 (building trust and audience first)
Biggest lesson this week:
Stop buying cheap backlinks. I evaluated multiple Fiverr packages and Reddit offers — all turned out to be spam farms or PBN networks. The legitimate backlinks I created myself (GitHub, Product Hunt, HackerNoon, Indie Hackers) are worth more than 1,000 junk links.
Biggest challenge:
Still SEO. 1,400 pages discovered by Google but not yet indexed. The bottleneck is domain authority. Every legitimate backlink helps, but it takes time.
Next up:
- Expanding glossary from 17 to 100+ terms (each term = its own SEO page)
- Fixing Wallet X-Ray to catch all trades (currently missing some DEX transactions)
- KOL directory (Key Opinion Leaders) — track Solana influencers with verified wallet PnL
Happy to answer questions or share what's working/not working. Building in public, one feature at a time.

Hey IH 👋
I'm Stijn, solo founder of MadeOnSol.com — the honest Solana tool directory.
I kept getting burned by Solana tools that were hyped but useless. Every "best tools" list was a paid promotion. So I built the directory I wished existed.
Where I'm at:
- 600+ Solana tools listed across 26 categories
- 5 built-in intelligence tools: Deployer Hunter (250K+ wallets tracked), CTO Radar (community takeover scoring), Token Scanner (instant risk scores), Wallet X-Ray (PnL & win rate for any address), and a Token Launcher with MEV protection
- First organic tool claim from a company with 24K X followers
- 173 Google-indexed pages, up from 40 three weeks ago
- ~€140/month to run everything
- $0 revenue (building trust first)
Stack: Next.js, Supabase, Hetzner VPS, gRPC for real-time blockchain data. Built entirely with Claude as my coding partner.
Biggest challenge right now: SEO. 1,400 pages waiting to be indexed. Working on backlinks and content.
Happy to share what I've learned. AMA.
